No, not that Jackson. The Steelers have released CB William Jackson lll. The move clears $12,187,500 and moves the team to $10,409,318 under the cap,

only know if if he works out for us or anyone if so to sign has to pass physical, maybe mid 4.5 good like Witherspoon be a good zone CB at times play press by jamming with over S help from someone like Kazee if back or edmundsNOT sure anyone wants him, bad back may never be right. What’s his speed like nowA days ?
Salute the nation
Well we were effectively able to waste salary on him last year that would have been nice to rollover to this season, so there’s thatAnd the lifecycle of the most pointless trade ever is complete… lol
The steelers took a risk on a player they wanted to draft. He didn't get healthy enough to contribute, and fortunately the trade compensation was voided with him not being eligible to play. It will be interesting to see If the Steelers try to sign him to a 1 yr prove it deal in the $5M range. I'd take that in a heartbeat....if he's healthy.

But hey once Mike likes a guy he likes a guy and he sure ain’t afraid to piss money away on a sweat pants model that he likes
This was absolutely one of the dumbest trades from start to finish-just pointless
Is Coolie sad???
Coolie is not sadIs Coolie sad???
Coolie is not sad
Coolie expected this
Coolie knows there is no way you keep WJIII with that contract
Coolie loves his Coogs but tends to be pretty honest in his evaluations of them
Coolie hopes WJIII's back is fully healed and he can be resigned for a more cap friendly contract
I dont know about the honest evals. I remember a few years back, you were pimping hat Ed Oliver guy to go in the top 10. and I think we all know how that turned out. Wait...Coolie is not sad

Steelers were on the hook only for the salary paid to him. $2 mill plus. That was money that would have rolled over. The steelers took a risk on a player they wanted to draft. oh boo freaking hooStupid move with stupid results.
I dont know. maybe he enjoyed his time here and will resign at a decent priceoh boo freaking hoo
the Steelers took a show and it currently looks to have netted them nothing
it was a low risk shot at getting some CB depth
I dont know. maybe he enjoyed his time here and will resign at a decent price
compared to the other 31 teams in the NFL, did the Steelers gain any rights/leverage on re-signing him?The steelers took a risk on a player they wanted to draft. Player contracts and cap room have NO impact on coaches/assistant salaries. Their contracts are non-inclusive to the salary cap. The trade was a very low risk for PIT. They only sacrificed about 2x the minimum yearly salary of a vested player.compared to the other 31 teams in the NFL, did the Steelers gain any rights/leverage on re-signing him?
After taking the cap hit, would it not have been a better decision to have passed on WJIII and paide more to retain Flores or other coaching staff?
i mean, this is a double loss: less cap room this year because of the trade, and less actual cash for other needs like asst coaches, Flores, etc.
How was this not a disaster with the Steelers losing in every single aspect?
