I understand that coaches salaries are not related to the cap, but the money wasted on WJIII still cost the "tight" Steelers. If they had that cash back, they would have more cap room and could have used that to increase pay to others, like Flores.

No kidding. They gave some guy over 2 million dollars to do absolutely nothing and never play a down. Maybe invest some of that money into facility ugrades.

Yeppers, I thought he was off the books. They waited till after June 1st (i believe) to cut him. That allowed us to split his signing bonus into two years with this colander year being year 2.

Our salary cap takes a full time “Craptologist” to keep it somewhat under control.

So if you ever want proof that the Steelers are a bit more empathetic than the typical NFL team… according to the CBA they had every right to demand a portion of that signing bonus back and instead just pushed it out and ate it… thats the stuff that gets players to want to play here… its a business, but they probably care more than most when it comes to personal crap

Problem is that the survey, stupid ad it was, didn't ask about personal treatment but unnecessary perks
