I heard he did not have any gas left in the tank, almost no body wanted him, said he was too old. The old guys are getting after it. Game ball to James had a great game tonight, steadily improving. A non coaching decision to get him, more of an oh **** we need a linebacker, James you busy?

His pass pressure is a big reason for turning the season around for the 2014 Steelers. Further, his effort, his energy, his relentlessness at age 36 are contagious. The defense looked really good tonight. Of the 23 points the Rats scored, 7 came on a kickoff and 7 game on a Ben fumble. The Steelers' defense was responsible for giving up 9 points.

My favorite Steeler of all time (not the best, but my favorite).

If he makes the Pro Bowl this year it will be 6, the magic number for the Hall. And I'll start arguing for it. Loudly.

If we go all the way, I'll be needing a bullhorn.

Hampton will get robbed, but he is one of the primary reasons accomplished what we did. His absence in the Hall will irk me for all time. Hoping for a better fate to befall Deebow.

On a personal level, **** him. **** any nutjob who slaps his woman across the face. On a football level, I'm glad he's got something left. Dude just had no gas for anyone but us.

If she hit him first, she had it coming. See Ray Rice.

Maybe if you want to write the story yourself. But Harrison himself told cops he busted open a door and hit her in the face.

What about Ray Rice? You're down with just decking your woman across the face?

I don't want to derail, but I'm down with women keeping their hands to themselves and not trying to play victim when they lose a fight they themselves started. If she don't want to get hit, she shouldn't be hitting. Period. If Janay doesn't throw that elbow to the face in the beginning, her husband still has a job.

Next you'll be selling me that garbage that slutty girls who get drunk and bang strangers are "rape" victims.

/derail.

Goddamn, dude.

First, I don't know where you get that she started hitting Harrison. By the police report and his own words, they were arguing when he busted open the door and slapped her across the face, leaving a red handprint.

Secondly, if you can't control an angry WOMAN without hitting her across the face, you're a dripping *****. I'm sure NFL DPOY James Harrison, cowering weakling he is, had no recourse but to hit her across the face. I'm sure Ray Rice was backed whimpering into a corner (invisibly to the camera) and had no choice but to deck his wife across the face.

People who think like you are a problem.

1) I started this off by saying "if". I do not know the details of Harrison's case. Which is why I said "if". And if he did hit her without cause, he is wrong. But that does not make him Satan. People make mistakes. If he pays his debt, and atones for the sin, he deserves a second chance. Most fallen souls are redeemable.

2) You don't believe in female accountability, so you excuse bad female behavior. Actions have consequences. If Harrison hits his woman without cause, he should do prison time. That's justice. If she hits him first and gets her *** whipped, that is also justice. Keep thy hands to thy self. The size issue is bogus. If Seth Green, who is all of 140 lbs walks up on Dwayne Johnson and slaps the **** out of him, are you going to be sympathetic when The Rock hands him his ***? Of course not, Seth would have it coming. Don't start none, won't be none.

Feminists want all the rights and privileges of men, without the responsibility or accountability that comes with them. I'm not on board with that. If women can serve in infantry units, be police officers, or commander in chief, it's high time they started taking on the same accountability as men.

And Harrison is your favorite Steeler. Ever. Congrats, I guess. A self-admitted woman beater who whacked his girlfriend across the face hard enough to leave a mark over a disagreement on a baptism. You must be proud.

Your idea of justice is to manhandle your woman if she hits you. I'll pass on that, thanks. As I said, if that's what you NEED to do to control a hysterical woman, then you're a ***** and that's that.

Not to mention, your religious stuff doesn't mesh well with this. Turn the other cheek, right? Or beat the **** out of them for your own satisfaction. Or just THWACK give the love of your life a shot across the jaw. That'll teach her to come at you with 120 pounds of uncontrollable fury.

You're taking a good idea way too far with this. Besides, a professional athlete knocking his woman out is overkill. Hell, overkill doesn't even cover it. The NFL DPOY didn't NEED to hit his girlfriend across the face even if she did it first. Either he wanted to do it to prove a point, or he's a nutjob so bubbling over with rage he can't control himself. Either way, **** him in his ear.

I do have to say I thought the dude was washed up.

From a pure football standpoint, what he has accomplished upon his return is impressive.

How the hell does a thread about the way Harrison played get turned into this???? Do people come here to talk football or to try to start bullshit with other people? What the hell, we are coming off one of the best stretches of regular season play I can remember and we want to talk about a guys personal life that NOBODY HERE has a clue about! Give it a rest enjoy this stretch we are playing some fun to watch football right now.......

Yeah, the ***** deserved it, right? James only hits because he loves. And any woman that gets drunk is obviously asking for it!

What a bunch of neanderthals.

I heard he did not have any gas left in the tank, almost no body wanted him, said he was too old.

Yes his performance did drop off in 2012 but I'm beginning to buy the theory that he wasn't 100% and injury was holding him back. He's done a nice job getting himself healthy and back in shape over the past few months.

James took over, yes, took over a part of the game that got things turned around for us. And, Ben took over the rest. The O didn't show up for the first quarter but after that 1st turnover, it was game, set and match. It was a beautiful thing to watch.

Pushed through the purple fags line like butter and smashed Ernie! Every time i saw that jackwads feet flying through the air while getting slammed i jumped for joy.

James had a similarly, but better game against his former team before. I commend him on being in "football" shape and stepping up this game. He is on the verge of pro-bowl berth, how I do hope. Thank you James "Debo" Harrison.

Salute the nation

He had a great game last night, but let's not get carried away.

Cowher's players still making a difference ;-)

There is no doubt the team has gotten better in discipline and leadership since Keisel and Harrison have re-joined the team. The young kids might have needed a kick in the ***.

Its no surprise the team is getting better in most facets of the game. It would take some time to orientate the new kids and free agent acquisitions. Theres 22 new faces on the roster that werent even here last year and we are in a transition/rebuild mode. The meter points upwards for this team. And if 3-3 was our rough start, im happy as **** we are 6-3 and about to peak at the right time. Health is still a huge issue for this team but i like where we are headed.

So what happens in a few weeks when Jarvis Jones comes back? Moats looked pretty good as well and Worilds I feel had his best game of the season. I know he did not get a sack but he got some pressure and made a nice INT. I think when JJ comes back he and Harrison probably split time keeping Deebo fresh.

Idioteque:

Why not just admit that Harrison played a great game? But I guess you can judge others since you have never made a mistake in your life.
You are the one that needs slapped across the face you judgmental prick.

Great game Silverback.

And **** all the judgemental pricks who hijacked this thread.
