James Harrison

Idioteque:

Why not just admit that Harrison played a great game?

I did that, dipshit.

But I guess you can judge others since you have never made a mistake in your life.
You are the one that needs slapped across the face you judgmental prick.

Yeah, I judge woman-beating *********. I do it all day and I do it with a smile.

You are a sheer ******* idiot.

Yea right............"I am a sheer ******* idiot"
And you know that how Mr Judgmental Prick?

I stand by my post you MORON

I....... DON'T!!!!! care. The opinions of douchebags like you and your buddy in this thread mean nothing.

Judgmental? Yeah, I guess so. A goddamn professional football player needed to win an argument so bad he whacked his girlfriend across the face.. But he's actually a swell ******* guy. Hell, I wish he was dating my daughter.

And he's SNAP's favorite Steelers of all-time. The fact that you don't see anything wrong with that would be funny if it weren't so sad.

So, domestic abusers are just "misunderstood"? Is that what you're saying? We don't have the right to judge them?

Idiot, please, for ***** sake, go start a thread about the ethics of James Harrison and keep this petty *** bullshit character assassination off this thread. You know goddamned well it wasn't the intent of the thread.

Harrison definitely seems to have more left than initially thought. It's not a coincidence that the front 7 has become considerably more physical and disruptive once he settled into the OLB rotation.

However, given his age, they need to really be careful with his play count, as I'm not sure they can expect to continue use him as much as they did last night without him wearing down as the season progresses.

And you know all of the facts of the case because you of course were there.
Take a chill pill dickweed. This is a football forum. I could give a rat's *** about your opinion on domestic violence.

93.7 has been playing a short interview (yes I know they're all short) from one of their lesser reporters with James from last week. Hilarity ensues.

Reporter: "What it is."
Deebo: "What the hell you say?"
Reporter: "What it is. Antonio seems to get a good response so...'what it is'."
Deebo: "You're not Antonio."

He's playing his way back into shape. That's the good thing about this. He may be old, but he knows how to play that position and has a god damned motor like no other. Once he's fully into football shape he's going to be better than last night.

I'm going by his own words, Sally.

I was responding to one boy wonder's statement that he was his "favorite Steeper of all-time." That was so silly and ****** up I felt the need to chime in.

The realities of his age cannot be ignored. He was great last night, and he'll get into better shape, but people who think the Harrison we saw last night is going to be the norm going forward, as if it's 2008 again, need to temper their expectations.

Look, he spent his last year plus here with a wrecked back and last year was persona non grata in Cincitucky. His first few games here this season he was a ghost. The last couple games he looks like Debo circa 2008. IF he can hold up, he needs to play as much as possible because if he isn't done he is a force. I was wrong to think he wouldn't contribute at all, that performance last night was worth the minor investment all on it's own.

He's not going to be what he was in 2008, but he's going to be on the field more because even with Jarvis back he will have to play himself into the rotation.

Last night, they said he lost 14 pounds or so and his legs are where they need to be. Sure did look like it last night. The dude looked like he did several years ago. The bye week should give him and the team a nice rest so they can finish the season on a very high note.

When he first came back, I was convinced everyone was right and he didn't have anything left. He's had a few games to get his game-shape in tune with his physical shape and looks like there is some left.

Cowher's players still making a difference ;-)
.

If you repeat a lie enough times, it becomes the truth.

Harrison is a TOMLIN player. He was a practice squad guy under Cowher. He started in 2007, Tomlin's first year. Cowher cut Harrison 3 times. Tomlin made a Pro Bowl, and possibly HOF player out of him.

Harrison started only because Joey was a cap casualty. He was a backup with Cowher. Remember the SD game in 2005 where he hurdled LT?
.

I'd shed tears of joy if we got James another ring this year before he retires.

Ben should promise him now and grow a beard.

"ANOTHER FOR THE SILVERBACK."

If Harrison can in some way lead by example the young guys on the team, then it's worth him being back here this season. Same holds true for Keisel.

The theme continues.

If something goes wrong, it's all Tomlin's fault.

If anything goes right, it's a "Cowher holdover".

************* up in here just can't stand a newborn Lipizzaner.

Joey was cut because someone seen something in Harrison that Cowher couldn't. Joey Porter even said himself if Cowher was still here he'd still be the starting linebacker for the Steelers.

Lol do you really believe that? because ol' Joey said it, it must be true?

I wanted him back since training camp

bout time they listened to me
