Yep. Paxlovid works like the vaccines do - piss poor.

Paxlovid suppresses the virus in the body. But it only partially works. Conservative estimates are the 40% of Paxlovid users get these immediate rebound cases because the drug fails to suppress all of the virus. It lingers around. You test negative. Then it multiplies again and you still have it...because you never got fully rid of it.
