My short answer. Best college Qb I ever saw. He’s going to be a pro bowl quarterback at the very least.

I’d trade our entire 2020.draft plus next year number one pick for him. Of course that would not be enough.

How good are his WRs? How good is his Oline? How good is his running game?

Start there before crowning him

they have to build a team around him, like BAL did with Jackson. CIN has a lot more work and pieces to gather to make that happen. Burrow will be good, but it may take him awhile to be great.

We'll find out early next season. College success does not equal pro success.

I have faith that the Bengals won't give him the development needed to fully grow as a QB. I'd bring in someone that knows that offense he ran this year and start there. My opinion is, they won't and they'll continue to do things their own way.

I have to agree. I have said this before as well. Burrows is very good and the most NFL ready QB I have seen in a long time. Sucks that we will have to face him at least twice a year for more than likely the next 15 years.

Was just thinking that he reminds me of Joe Montana at ND: Cerebral passer with wheels.

A visionary OC or HC could do big things with JB.

So you are saying that fichtner and Tomlin would do mediocre things with him. Like a playoff win every 3 seasons

6 months in rehab and Ben will be good to for 4 more years, just get him a #1 RB and WR

Amen

Burrow is going #1 to Cincinnati unless they pull a Cleveland. He's as hot a quarterback prospect as I've seen in college in some time. The kid is making it look easy.

Trevor Lawrence is the QB I'm having a hard time with. The guy has a face you just want to punch but everything on the outside seems prototypical. And he wins. But man, that kid scares me with his demeanor.

Answer: Damn good.

The one thing that Burrow is going to have to work on is his tendency to lock on to one receiver, and when that receiver is covered, to lower his head to look at the rush, and if he sees any pressure, start to run rather than move around in the pocket to buy time and look downfield some more. He did that consistently the first half.

That said, he has a tremendous arm, can put the ball in tiny windows, is athletic, fast, can buy time if he wants. He will have Mixon, AJ Green, and Ross next year so he will have some help. His OL is an issue, however, so his tendency to stare at the rush could be an issue for him.

If I'm the bungles I go all in on Burrow and get a real NFL OL. Draft, FAs, or trade. I also make sure to get some weapons around him. Not saying they will do that because they are the bungles. But if they are smart I would make sure I protected by franchise QB. He has all the tools to succeed in the NFL.
