Joe Burrow. How good will he be in the NFL?

I would say his mechanics look very clean and he seems extremely accurate at all three levels. The Bungholes will be better for getting him. He seems bulletproof but I'm sure they will find a way to **** it up.

I don't know what you see in Lawrence. He's got size and an arm but needs a lot of work on the NFL level. JMO...

Let me add this.

Burrow is a great college QB. No homerism, but Tua is better. If Tua comes back from injury - he will be the best college QB to enter the league since Peyton Manning.

We shall see...

So here's the question. If Tua drops to round 2. Do the Steelers draft him?

no he might need another couple of seasons[/QUO

you just got to believe. l. Jackson and e. Oliver will be in the Hall of Fame this year. some how. some way

Yeah as last time they were in the playoffs it seems was three years ago in the AFC Title Game losing to the Patriots!

I’d trade our entire 2020.draft plus next year number one pick for him. Of course that would not be enough.

This is why you are ridiculed constantly and why you won’t win anything but the jelly of the month club membership.

Post for attention......the real short answer.

Burrow is going #1 to Cincinnati unless they pull a Cleveland. He's as hot a quarterback prospect as I've seen in college in some time. The kid is making it look easy.

There are already whispers being spoken that Burrow’s parents are being advised to follow Eli’s path. Money won’t be the selling point since there is a rookie cap. Position development and franchise health are part of the bigger decisions for 1st Rd QBs now.

so going to Western OH is not a lock? Interesting.

Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, teams will be offering an insane return for that #1 overall pick this season, I wouldn't be shocked to see Cincy trade that away for the huge return. They would get an insane amount of picks for this years one, and they could still possible get Trevor Lawrence next season.

Joe Burrow has the potential to be an excellent NFL QB. So did Tim Couch but then he got sacked like 60 times his rookie year and took at least 3 times a many hits and then he never recovered. Burrow is obviously a better prospect but the principle is the same - he is going to go to a **** team and will need to survive the physical and mental beating he is going to take. That is what will determine if he will succeed in the NFL.

I am not a Tua fan. In fact, I would not touch him in the first two rounds because we have bigger needs. Third round, sure but I don't like him as much as probably 3-4 other QBs.

It would be interesting if Burrow pulled an Elway or Eli Manning move and refused to go to Cincinnati.

First, Mike Brown is so old-school and stubborn, he might select him anyway just out of spite even if he never suits up for the Bengals. I'm not sure Mike Brown cares more about winning than being right and keeping power to the owners. That said, Carson Palmer was on a pretty good track in Cincy before Von Oelhoffen.

Second, where would the Burrows want to go? New Orleans to replace Drew Brees? Now that's a thought..... considering Brees and Bridgewater are free agents.....

Burrow is from Ohio so he may not hate going to Cincy, who knows.

I know it's not a popular stance on this board, but I've long been of the opinion that Marvin Lewis worked a minor miracle making the Bengals as competitive as they were during most of his tenure. You guys are underestimating how difficult it is to win with an owner like Mike Brown. He is by far the worst owner in American pro sports. Worse than Daniel Snyder, worse than Bob Nutting. Lewis finally leaves, and they are immediately back where they were before he came. I know he's from Ohio, but Burrow needs to pull a John Elway, or Eli Manning, and simply let Brown know he won't come there.

Lewis had a .518 winning %. He had 7 winning seasons in 16 years. He never won a playoff game in spite of having acquired a lot of talent through the draft because they were able to draft very high most years. He struggled to control his own team at times. They could have beaten the Steelers a few years ago but he allowed Birthdefect to stay on the field and rack up personal foul after personal foul. He was a below average coach for a below average team.

I think Lewis would be a better coordinator.......

Borrow could pull an Elway or Eli Manning.

Outside of physical talent the mental speed an accuracy of his decision making is remarkable and he’s got a quiet type of confidence in himself and his receivers.

Best QB prospect I ever saw.

So here's the question. If Tua drops to round 2. Do the Steelers draft him?

Have you ever seen me naked??? IF Tua drops to the second round, PERIOD, and I'm in charge...I'm packaging the best possible deal to go get him. And I will do a slow pimp walk to the podium let it all hang out...
