Joey Porter Jr.............................. not dad

The league forced them to divest their horse racing and gambling operations a while ago because it was a bad look for the league to have *cough* owners involved in gambling *cough* so as I recall that stuff got handed off to other family members not connected to the Steelers.

It wasn’t that long ago when any talk about having a team in Vegas was shut down completely because of the bad look it would give the league because of the image of gambling. Now every second commercial on TV during a sports event is a gambling add it seams. Not to mention how gambling adds have absolutely ruined finding sports streaming on the internet. It’s a ******* invasion. Remember not that long ago it was porn/sex pop up’s. Now it’s all gambling. What big corporation controls porn/gambling? How the times have changed.

You must be too old and senile to remember how things ended with Troy. Go look it up
I remember well. He was one of the best steelers of all time. But his playing style caught up with him. His injuries caused a shortened career. Sad.

Stop playing games trying to pacify his entitled *** and start fining him. If he wants to sit out the year, let him. Franchise his *** next year, if he wants to sit out again, see who wants a DB that hasn't played in 2 years. See how long he can go on not making any money.

If ONLY Art the flaccid could play hard ball
He’s more of a softie tho

Well that just means a cheap offense. They use the cap up to the top every year, that doesn't make them cheap or not

Spot on

They spend their cap and still rake in hundreds of millions annually.

Art the flaccid isn’t cheap, or poor
Does his allocation of assets blow, sure
But that’s a whole other can of worms

He could easily afford JpJ and if JpJ isn’t over valuing his worth past history shows he probably would sign off on him …maybe Art the flaccid is finally realizing that endlessly pissing money into a defense in an offensive league is a failing strategy

BUT more than likely a greedy agent and Dad are throwing a left handed monkey wrench into the machine, I’d bet on that scenario over Art the flaccid learning anything about team building

What happens if the Steelers put him on the non-football related injury list, and I can only assume his injury (cough) is just that, does he still get a game check?

I t5hought it happened in early training camp.?

Salute the nation

I think that's the consensus of everyone not named Porter. I get trying to get the best deal for yourself that you can, but Jr may well be destroying his future in the process.
Being a year+ removed from your last playing time isn’t a good look, injury or not.

I said this quite sometime ago. It’s just a gut feeling. With the amount of guaranteed money some of these players are getting will they have the drive, focus, heart to try to be #1 ? Or will play slowly but surely falter off. In Joey’s case I think he falters off. Gut feeling. While some of you like to use Bell as an example,I thought the same about him. These fully guaranteed 60,80,100 million contracts are no good for the sport. Incentive laden contracts would be so much better with of course team/player performance as the gold lining. Remember one of the huge contracts from years gone by when Washington signed Albert Haynesworth? One of the first huge guaranteed contracts at the time. I just laughed at the time. You knew that guy was going to coast for the rest of his football life.
I am waiting for the day a team files a suit against the player for non expectation performance. Demanding 30% back.
