As tomorrow comes I feel one of three things will happen:
1. Tomlin will be exposed. The Pats will use a safe short throw field position game and force the Jaguars out of their comfort zone and capitalize on the mistakes. And that is simply shame on Tomlin.
2. Last weeks game was called very loosely. Which is fine. There were a couple things I thought were ****. Loose always favors defense. It was fair enough. Just call it the same this week. If we get a replay of Pats/ Titans Im ****** done. Ill watch the Steelers until they suck. But much like the NHL. I wont really give a ****.
3. What should happen, they cover those ******* all over the field. The two corners eliminate all outside threat. Gronk gets his But a hell of a lot less than Brown last week and it isnt even close to enough. Posluzny eliminates the run and the front four cave in Brady. Then I will be interested moving forward. Anything else is a massive indictment against Tomlin or the league.

Jacksonville won't score 20 points on offense, let alone 5 touchdowns. The Patriots will key on stopping Fournette, force Bortles to produce over a full game, and the Jags' quarterback will fold. They might put together a drive or two, but it won't be enough. Simple strategy from a superior coach and coaching staff will land the Patriots in the SB yet again, while Tomlin watches from his couch.

Agree with this

I'd like to see the Jags somehow find a way to win but I don't see it happening.

Pats 35
Jags 10

If Brady is in the game and reasonably healthy, I just can't see the Jags winning. Their D can shut down the Cheatriots to a point but they will still score points. I just don't think the Jags can score enough. I agree that the Cheats will stuff the run and 20+ Bortles beat them. I just don't see him doing it. They will need to score 20+ to win and as I said earlier in the week, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jags O score 10 or less.

I hope I am wrong and the Jags win this game. I don't want the Cheats anywhere near the SB.

Barring another Al Riveron controversial call favoring the Cheats, one thing this game will reinforce will be that in comparison to Doug Marrone and Bill Belichick, Mike Tomlin's accolades must include "wears cool shades but can't win the big one"!

I'll have my bullshit detector operating at 110% today.

Someone on here a few years back mentioned watching the game with an NFL cheating lens. And watching would not be the same. I'm not totally bought in, but very close. Last week there were about 2 penalties the entire game? No PI or D holding. I'm interest to see if that continues today. Or will flags fly on the Jags like they did on the usually disciplined Titans.

It's been ruined for me for about 15 years.Steelers winning super bowls or not. There's not much that will change the point of view now. It's entertainment. I look at it under a magnifying glass like studying a bug.

I think Tomlin's biggest problem, and one he never learns from is when he throws an interception and then holds the ball too long and gives up the strip sack KNOWING the strength of the Jags pass rush. Tomlin spotted them. a quick 14 because of his staggering stupidity.

Ahhh...it's OK he led the team to 13-3 and threw for 5,000.000 yards in the game. He gets a pass......ALWAYS.

And 5 td in the game and over 400 yards passing. But when you play a great defense some things happen as they should today. But who called 38 Toss against tgat defense after a timeout. Who went for it on 4th down after the punt deflection sequence. I was fine with a punt in that scenario. Like anything I wrote leading up to the game. Make them play the long field and force them into third and long. And who called for a short kickoff when CLEARLY the percentages were better to stop and use timeouts.

Accounted for six touchdowns that game. Way more than enough to win even with a couple of turnovers.

Yep, and since Tomlin runs the defense the lack of strategy is on him.

Looks like Harrison, who Tomlin stupidly cut will be going to the super bowl, either him or Colbert's 6th round long snapper.

Yep, you don't get it both ways. If you are going to dabble in the defense you get credit in each performance of good or bad. I think this over the middle and this 2DL if ******* for the crap birds,.......... You know the ones that crap all over the place. How do you expect pressure on BORTLES with a 2DL alignment????? The more I hear the more he needs to be cleaning his Cool Shades in another place. It seems like 35years that he has been here and nothing but mediocracy from our head coach.

Tomlin has been exposed many times this year with only some great last moment plays and a great field goal kicker to hide it. Rooney's have been blinded by their hire of Tomlin. The word coming out about his lack of control off this team should be rewarded with bags on the street.

I think that slow out of the gates Haley approach is going to help, in the fact it is replaced.

You look at strong coordinators across the NFL. They really can make a difference.

Which is why I was sad at Butler being retained.

You and I both slash. I think the OC will be a little more agressive as this offense that we have is an attacking offense. It's NOT a slow grind type offense which means faster starts and hopefully score put opponent into game plan change mode...........

Also on the Butler thing, I don't know him personally but I didn't want him promoted from within due to Dick L. Old system. As it turns out we needed a strong personality know what I'm doing type, to keep Cool Shades in check. With some of this coming to light I hope our management / owner will reiterate job description to Cool Shades as I'M PRETTY SURE WE HAVE HIM FOR AT LEAST 2 MORE YEARS. Now if we win the SuperBowl this coming year and that is a distinct possibility then I'm afraid to guess how long he is here. My guess is as long as he keeps winning but hope it would be recognized once he regressed to just getting by or lackadazicalness shown. We can't have it all all of the time but us fan's want it all and all the time. KEEP ON keepIN on..!!!!

If you looked at the two key games. Steelers vs. Pats, pats vs. Titans. Pats got about a total of three penalties for probably less than 25 yards when it mattered. The world is watching.

So, who else realized how good the Cheats D was this year? I knew they had improved from the games early in the season where Brady made several comebacks to keep them above .500. But, I didn't realize they were the best scoring D since week 5, only giving up 14 points per game.

So, how did Belidick do it? They went from sucking (giving up north of 30 per game) to the best scoring D in the league.

EASY answer, when MANY scoring drives are stalled due to penalty, YOUR "D" don't need much to improve. What I'm saying is when the opposing team is cut short 30% of it's oppertunity to have a scoring drive that one of the benefits is YOUR defense looks a hell of a lot better.
I give you the TITAN's game as an example and proof.
