No LOL I'm speaking facts. History. Incidents. Do you wonder why we've seen an increase in the number of truck related attacks? Because pending the situation (urban areas, packed sidewalks) they are highly effective. That lorrie in France killed 84 people in a couple minutes. Far more than that one man could have killed armed with a gun in two minutes.
You can answer your own ridiculous question about why the military doesn't arm themselves with trucks. That's not even worthy of a reply.

Moroccan-born Italian was flagged on terrorism database after he was stopped while trying to travel to Syria in 2016
Counter-terrorism police were searching apartments in and around Bologna. Raids took place at the homes of friends and relatives of the attacker, including the house of one of his ex-girlfriends, who is from Libya and lives near Bologna.
In March 2016 when Zaghba first tried to get to Syria, he was challenged by officials after he became agitated as he approached the check-in desk at Bologna airport. He told them: “I am going to be a terrorist,” according to reports in the Italian press, citing security sources. His passport and phone were impounded. Propaganda videos and religious sermons found on the phone appeared to confirm his intent to join Isis.
He was investigated but not charged, and soon afterwards he moved to east London where he is understood to have taken a job in a Pakistani restaurant.
After he was stopped at Bologna airport, details about him were uploaded to a Europe-wide database of potential jihadis, although Scotland Yard said in a statement: “He was not a police or MI5 subject of interest.”

The militants insisted in their English language magazine this week that losing territory has only made it work that much harder to kill. The attacks since Ramadan’s beginning on May 26 show the sweep of the group’s ambition — from attacking the West, to expanding in the Philippines, to targeting Shiite powerhouse Iran — something al-Qaida itself never risked.
“They can say here is something that al-Qaida has refrained to do,” said Assaf Moghadam, an author and analyst of jihadi groups. “From their perspective it’s been a great Ramadan so far.”

Bratton thinks Europe-like terror attacks are headed for the US
Recent acts of terror in Europe are the “new normal” – and surely coming soon to the United States, former NYPD commissioner Bill Bratton ominously warned on Sunday.
Evil doers have stepped up attacks on soft targets – such as London Bridge, Manchester Arena and Bastille Day in Nice – in the past 12 months, making a similar terrorist strike on American soil inevitable, Bratton told “The Cats Roundtable.”
“(European-style terror attacks are) going to be the new normal in our world,” Bratton told interviewer John Catsimatidis on AM 970. “The pace of terrorist attacks, certainly in Europe, has been increasing.” Bratton warned: “That type of attack is quite likely to occur in the United States at some point in time.”
Even as US-backed forces close in on ISIS in Raqqa, Syria, the terror group will only spread from a setback in a conventional war, according to Bratton – analogizing it to a particularly gross medical procedure.
“As the issue in Syria comes to closure as ISIS loses its last city in the caliphate, unfortunately, it is like lancing a boil,” he said.
“What is inside will spread around the world even more.”
Bratton blamed porous European borders for exacerbating the problem.
“The open-border situation in Europe is compounding the problem,” said Bratton, who served as NYPD commish in two stints, 1994-96 and 2014-16. “It [hinders the effort] of trying to keep track of people who identify as terrorists or having terrorist leanings.”

Norway to ban full-face Muslim veil in all schools
Oslo (AFP) - The Norwegian government on Monday proposed a bill to ban the full-face Muslim veil in all schools, from nurseries to universities, saying it hinders communication between students and teachers.
Norway's ruling coalition of conservative and anti-immigration rightwing parties had promised the ban last year, targeting the full-face veil called the niqab as well as burqas, balaclavas and masks.
"We do not want clothes covering the face in nurseries, schools and universities," Minister of Education and Research Torbjorn Roe Isaksen said in a statement.
"These clothes prevent good communication, which is important for students to receive a good education," he added.
Norwegian authorities will consult over the coming months with those who could be affected by the draft law.
Norwegian media reported the government can count on the support of most parties, saying the bill was expected to pass in the spring of 2018.
Local authorities in Norway already have the power to ban the veil in schools, however there is no uniform national policy. At this stage, the bill does not lay out consequences for disregarding the proposed law.
The full-face veil is rather uncommon in Norway, even more so in schools, but the issue comes intermittently back into political debates.
The Islamic Council, an umbrella organisation representing Muslims, hired a communication manager wearing a niqab, which sparked a heated discussion earlier this year.
Legislative elections will take place on September 11 in the Nordic country.
"Clothes covering the face, like the niqab and the burqa, have no place in Norwegian schools. It is a fundamental value to be able to communicate with each other," Per Sandberg, interim minister of immigration and integration, said.
