Kazee suspended for rest of season

Same play in New Orleans game but the defense back left his feet and lead with helmet, no ejection no thought of suspension. The NFL today has no consistency in one thing they do.

There is one……………….. ****-ing over the STEELERS.

The only thing, is he launched himself. I know the NFL has frowned on that …. Big time.

I think the NFL has Wussified the game so bad and in favor of the offense.

He will appeal and probably get one game and fine.

EDIT: I re-watched and saw that he didn’t Launch. Sorry Steeler Pride And thanks for all your great post(s) along the way.

Never left his feet. No launch was launched.

Brady brings up the real cause. Too many QBs and WRs who don't know how to read a defense. Nearly every offense uses option routes. The WR has 2 routes to run based on the coverage being man or zone. The most common, especially over the middle where many of these big hits occur, is the WR has the option of an in breaking route or a hook.

If it's man coverage, you run away from it with the in breaking route or slant or crosser and force the DB to chase. If it's zone then the WR needs to find the spot between the zones and hook. That's because if he runs across the middle vs a zone, he may get past the first defender but he will be running right into another in the next zone.

The WRs don't want the hook. As we steeler fans know, you don't get big plays on hooks. WRs want to run that crosser and get RAC and big plays so too many of them don't read the defense correctly and try to run the crosser. The QBs then don't read it correctly either and end up leading the WR into a collision.

Most of these collisions are the fault of the WR and the QB.

I got friends i game with who are saying it was dirty, he launched, led with head, defenseless receiver... Ejection warranted.

I disagreed due to doesnt lead with crown, used shoulder, doesnt launch. He went low.

They treat me like im delusional.. I told them i dont care what team it was for i would say same thing.

Am i wrong?

Tom Brady came to the defense of Kazee.

I'd like to know how Kazee "launched" when both of his feet are on the ground when he made contact. Also note how he has his head turned to avoid helmet to helmet contact. It was just a hard hit. Could have been a penalty because there was some shoulder to helmet contact but should not have been an ejection and a suspension is ridiculous.

Players have only themselves to blame. They gave Goodell this nearly unchecked power. Maybe when the next CBA is being negotiated, the players should read more than the paragraph that shows the % of revenues they get.

You're good boss...I don't take it personally if someone sees things differently than me (except maybe Tibs and Flog)...but thanks for the compliment!

NFL flag football will be nothing but showboating. Garbage.
Diontae Johnson should save his body and retire until he learns how to catch a football. Then come back in 5 yrs when it'll surely have become flag football with no contact at all. Because then, and only then, he just might be valuable enough to become a WR2 in the NFL. On somebody else's team....

John Runyon was the rep that released the suspension statement. If I remember correctly he was one of the dirtiest players to ever play the game.
And one of the best OLinemen of his time...and would of loved to see him in the B&G back then...and I would be willing to wager Big Ben would of also.

It's completely trash and boring. What we used to know the Steelers as is never coming back.
I think pretty much the entire nfl landscape is changing.

Rules are seriously affecting this sport and turning away it’s former demographic.

The new demographic for the nfl will be ok with the rule changes in result a watered down product compared to the 90’s and 2000’s and early 2010’s.

Most grown "children" of today, will appreciate the fact that their team did indeed............... get a participation trophy.

The current generation did grow up with a participation trophy of some sort. It only makes sense we see it affecting everything else now.

Best we could do is just focus on what matters to us at the moment.

Fantasy football, on-line wagering, social media, you tube, tiky-toky, players wives and girlfriends drama, and a lost generation.....

That is what is driving the NFL and the fans who will witness its total demise from what it once was..

Yep---I admit it...I guess I'm now the grumpy old man that I once said I would never become... ;)

Generations. I’m in between the old and new generation age wise and I’ve seen both sides. I side more with the older generation, especially because these athletes are over paid.

These guys don’t care about legacy, history etc. they’re selfish and collect what they can before they retire. In a way it’s our fault for suckering in.

This is why my attitude has changed drastically towards sports

I can barely even watch NASCAR anymore.
For me that’s yuge.
Drag racing got slightly more interesting with Tony Stewart driving a Top Alcohol dragster.
Next season he may move to Top Fuel to drive his wife’ car (Leah Pritchett) since she’s pregnant.
The interview of him on YouTube talking about his wife teaching him to drive a Top Fueler is friggen’ hilarious.

I'm getting grumpy too. Swifty and her fans holding up Taylor signs during the game is getting old really fast. Although, that distraction might keep the Chefs from doing anything.

Nascar, nba, nhl, mlb. It’s all tainted.
God bless TJ Watt, Cam Heyward, Sidney Crosby, Shohei Otahni and RIP Dale Earnhardt Sr

So after learning of the suspension and subsequent conversation with football friend I typed for lack of better word dirty hits 2023. First clip in role as Broncos safety v. Commandsrs TE in endzone he literally left his feet to make helmet to helmet contact with the guy and laid him out. Punishment was a fine. He subsequently took a one game suspension for another 4 game for illegal hit on Dobbs and I believe he is eligible to return this week. Kazee hit was not even close. There was no room for interpretation on that hit. He was trying to end the dude.

Anyone know how long the appeal process takes? Is he eligible to play if it isn't heard before Saturday?
