Again there is still the possibility Lewis was let go for more than just his football ability. I mean as many like to point out the Steelers didn't even make an offer. Obviously they thought Allen could take h is place and he's struggling. There is also the possibility he was let go cause he was a douche in the locker room. There was talk of guys not pulling their weight or not being team players around that time.

Agree. I was okay with giving him one year and seeing how he does. I would sign him again for a fair price but if someone wants to pay more then let him walk. If he doesn't crank it up for the second half of this season too then he may not be offered what he thinks he'll get. At the very least he'll get a rep for only playing hard at contract time.

I can see why they didn't give Lewis a contract, but I don't know why the gave Allen what they gave him.

We havent had a pass rush in three years..........so naturally DBs will look to be exposed.If a line gives a QB five seconds to throw, who can cover consistently for that long in the league...add to that the idea that you cant breathe on a receiver else it warrants an Illegal Contact penalty and now NO ONE CAN COVER worth ****.

If I'm not mistaken, he said he wanted to return but the Steelers never made an offer.

The deal he took from NO was almost identical to the deal Cortez just signed with us.
