Keith Butler is Retiring

A pretty lack luster run as DC, especially considering the rectal plumbing his defenses took in the post season.

Teryl Austin will probably be promoted, though I'm hoping they take the opportunity to bring in someone who has not been around Tomlin too much in recent years.
 
My suggestion is to move Canada to DC
He can really **** up an offense.
 
Austin will be promoted. Unless Art II steps in otherwise it will be Austin. And I’d be surprised if Art II did indeed step in.

Knowing it’s Pittsburgh they won’t. The Steelers are too traditional. In most instances that’s a good thing but by today’s nfl standards this team needs to get with the trends of the league. This team has too much raw talent to waste
 
Good grief. Please go outside the organization. I think Rooney boots Canada. Now would be a good time for Tomlin to call it a day as well.
 
We go into next season with Austin, Canada and Tomlin as the coaching staff and no Ben we will be looking for a new coach staff this time next year! We have 3 up in coming teams in our division sorry, that three isn’t up to task of defending them.

I dunno. They ended up using Mink all over anyways. So maybe that stance has changed plus Flores wasn't the DC at that time was he ? I'd have to check.
 
Now we know nobody on the outside will come to be a DC with Tomlin calling the plays. **** the internal hires should refuse the position. As they will be handcuffed too. SMH. I know this is a dead horse but the want for a new HC has just increased for me. Not that that had much room to grow.

This will be very interesting as Ravens got rid of their defensive coach as well. Ravens being high on hard defense who will Hairball go after compared to what Tomlin does.

He wanted to retire last year and Tomlin convinced him otherwise. Yeah **** why would anyone want to stay when being the fall guy year after year for blowout losses. It actually kind of pisses me off. As Butler improved the linebacking corps and now I think he was played a bad hand.
