I think, if I was keeping O'Canada till end of season............... I'd have to interview Josh at that time. I'd want to vett several candidates.

Also, it would tilt on if it was Kah/Weild searching or if they were relying on Coach Tomlin to make the choice.

My preference would be outside organization hire.

Another coach that Brady made look better than he was.
 
Against us he sealed his fate...When we the Raiders played us they had ALL THE MOMENTUM & were moving up & down the field at will late in the game. They would have scored a TD on that 4th & 4...We were gassed, & you could just feel it. Instead he tried a FG TWICE....

Thank God he was their coach cause we were about to blow that game & lose in OT

Everybody in the NFL fires head coaches, coordinators and position coaches but one team. It’s the Steelers own home grown stupid policy of not firing in season regardless of the poor results.
I see the Bears just fired their RB Coach and of course the Raiders just fired the HC and GM but noooooooo, not the Steelers. Got to keep the incompetence flowing so the greatest coach ever can keep his non losing season in tact.
I just saw an AP ranking of head coaches that has Tomlin ranked number five. I don’t get it!
Other than cheerleading what does this guy really excel at and what has he won with his coordinators and his players? This is his team top to bottom and they are starting to become less than his standard of mediocrity.

Never! Absolutely not! McDaniels was not only caught cheating in New England. Then he went to Denver and got caught doing the same damn thing.

No, I'd rather see the Steelers lose for a decade than have any of the taint of that b******* cheating franchise on our team.
 
Well. I never thought I’d say this. You have to throw a little respect to Mark Davis. McDaniels signed a 6 year contract. He was 1.5 years into it. The Raiders will pay him for another 4.5 years.
Davis saw the writing on the wall,knew it was not working and cut ties.

We can’t even fire our guy who’s contract is running out at the end of the year. It’s nauseating. At least Davis is showing their fans that he’s trying to win.

And no I don’t want this recycled how many times coach as our new OC. Good God.

Guaranteed after the season Shades will be wanting Duh back. Plan B will be Sullivan.

Answer is simple. Shades is #5 because there are a lot of bad coaches. This isn’t the 70’s with 4 less teams and 7 future Hall of Fame coaches on the sidelines every week. (There are 9 HC’s in the HOF who coached in all or part of the 70’s.)
 
People complain about the media and then wonder how Tomlin is in top 5. Like cmon. The media picks people and reality just doesn't matter. And I'm not going to get into this big, but saying race has nothing to do with this is laughable.

Hey, I am all for the Steelers moving on from Tomlin. It is necessary. But using the Raiders as an example? They haven't been relevant since about 2002. Davis is trying to win? Since when?

I'd respect Davis if i thought he was rational and made smart moves, but he's a moron who makes impulsive moves. The league basically set him up to move to Vegas because he was barely making money in Oakland. He throws money away. The fact that he leaves his house each day with the haircut of a 5 year old with Downs tells you that he has nobody in his life that tells him the truth about anything.

McDaniels would be a fool to take an OC job. Most coaching contracts are guaranteed unless they take another coaching job. That's why so many coaches go to TV for a year or 2. They get to collect 2 paychecks and wait for the right job.

If somebody offered McDaniels a head coaching job, maybe he'd take it but taking an OC job would be walking away from a lot of money.

Tomlin is among the top 5 greatest coaches in NFL history. Khan should be able to get at least some team's entire draft.
