I'm sure the rest of the NFL is on a "wait-n- C" mode. The ONLY thing BUD has done wrong is the grievance as he has signed his tag awhile back and has been off-season conditioning. He has remained NOT vocaL at any point and from what I can see / hear he has been very team oriented. I'd love to keep him but alas realize our cap situation is the driving factor. Monster year Mr. Dupree and then Adios

There is ONLY so much cap $$$$$$$ and it looks to be lowered next season. How do you fit everyone under the cap ?? BUD will be gone after this season.

We drafted a player and hopefully he can step in. We also have a couple in the wings waiting their turn. If we could keep BUD I'd be all for it but not at the expense of what he is going to cost in monetary and possible player cut costs.

Next year? We are talking about THIS year. There's a chance Bud, Conner, JuJu, Villanueva, and others will all be gone. Our front office can worry about next year when the time comes, until then, I want to see the team contend THIS year and a team without Dupree isn't as good as one with him.

this. i must assume the team has some plan going forward although I suspect it may be one fans don't like. Aside from the cap issues due to COVID, Ben restructured and is like a 40M hit. As noted, a lot of possible FA's and GM is on a year to year basis. I think a major restructure of the team may well be on the horizon...but....that is next year for htis fan...all in on 2020 (if they play)

This will be Durpee's last year regardless because T.J. Watt's contract will be coming up and he's the better player by a long shot. They can't afford both.

Especially with the Browns close to signing Garrett for $25M per year. TJ is going to cost a lot.

Bud will be here this year, when he signed the "TAG" that guaranteed his cap space for this season. We have the room as is. It's next year that BUD will be gone.
Unless I'm totally missing something about the cap hit.

looks like Garrett is finalizing a 5 yr 125 mill deal 100 mill gauranteed. not many players make the leap from college de to stand up rusher in a 34 quick even porter took a year we can hope highsmith is adapting quick and after the year we can hope jj if we dont win the sb comes on a 1-2 deal to play wwith family. and that buys us a year or so until highsmith is asked to be a full time starter. unless some miracle like eithier trump becomes non senile bud agrees to a extension we cant lock up cam. Could we ask pouncey to restructure which of the big contracts have not restructued ben has vance haden nelson anyone we can ask to extend cam

For what it is worth, Listening to ESPN radio they were saying it is the NFLPA behind theses position challenges more so than the players. It is seemingly part of their negotiation tactics for future CBA's. If that is the case it is a big nothing to me. He will lose.

Never say never as our very own Coach was convinced he could get two firsts out of BELL even though BELL was tagged Exclusive rights tag. So on this tag where-as you could actually get 2 firsts, maybe CXoach will come through at the witching hour........

While dupree has a great burst and size he just needed to polish blitzing running via the right angels as that is how from last year to this yr he changed being a .5 sec late into a sack or a FF

Can we slow down on the Jarvis Jones & Bud Dupree comparisons? They're not even close athletically, and if you want to talk about production, Dupree had almost double the sacks last season as Jones did his entire NFL career.

Bud Dupree is "light years" ahead of stenosis Jone's, contract year or not. Regardless of intent Bud is gone after this season.

they decided after the year tj had he is the must keep and now looking at what garrett got that sets the bar we can only hope tj takes a hometown discount i.e 7 years 160 55 mill guaranteed.
that limits conner av to short term extensions.
juju all depends on perfformance if 2018 juju extend 5 years if clay pool blows up consider sign and trade.

It was both of which the new coach had a hand in as he helped come up with how to use bud but also improved one on one coaching.

Joey spent more time reliving his playing days through coaching instead of actually coaching.

Mmmkay, so his first three years when he was presumably dropping back more he had a grand total of 1 INT according to Cope's numbers.
Which does match Hall of Famer Joe Greene's career total BTW.
