Let the Mocks begin.......

Sanders did interviews and from the reports, a lot of people are turned off by how he is... Deon's kid. If he doesn't ace his pro day, he may find himself in an Aaron Rodgers type slide.
Do you remember why AR slid? GB definitely made out with that one..

Hell, just by the interviews from the combine, especially the one with Horn...sounded like a moron. And he's spinning Horn's bling necklace to show it off on camera. No thank you.

There are several stories, and I'm sure if you put them all together it paints a better picture than just one of them, but here's what I've gathered.

His attitude was a turn off to some
The offense he came from kept extra protection, so he never got into a 3rd or 4th read
His coach in college had a long line of unsuccessful QB's at the next level (Trent Dilfer, Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller, David Carr)
Mike McCarthy (SF OC at the time) didn't like his film
There was no rookie wage cap, teams were worried about balancing two large QB contracts
Saban only liked Smith, so he wasn't going to take any other QB at 2

There is 0.0% chance Prime time will let his kid play in Cleveland... he will demand a trade if they take him

You and I both know that, but I’m hoping the Browns don’t. I hope they draft him.

Side Note, is shreuder (sp) that big of a feared QB? Has he merited (other than his family name) the attention with his play, that he is getting? Did I miss the best QB in America notice???

Salute the nation

The guy I liked the most as a non first round QB was Tyler Shough.. i figured he would fall into the 7th because he is 25 and soon to be 26... but he tore up the combine, so now he probably is gonna go in the 4th or 5th round... athletic enough not to be a statue, but loads of arm talent...

I'd be pretty happy with this one. I see Grant slipping in some of these mocks, I know his injury kept him from drills at the combine but shouldn't at his pro day. So he could shoot back up before the draft. Could also be the product of other people shooting up the boards pushing players down. This is the first one I've done that Dart didn't go in the first few picks of the second round.

I couldn't help but to do a quick mock after the DK trade. I was able to fall back and gain our 2nd back and took Dart as all of this talk about Rodgers has me living in my fears. I still double-dipped on the DL. If they keep GP this year, I wanted to shore up the D as much as possible. I could live with this draft for sure.

P.S. Anyone hearing anything about the De'Rickey Wright kid from Vanderbilt? I couldn't resist looking at him with that name. He is a huge S or possible ILB/hybrid. I'm not sure about his speed as he wasn't at the combine. I'm real curious to see how he does at his pro day. Could be a developmental steal in the 7th round.

I'll give you an A for that strategy and drafting, especially because it looks realistic, Grant might well be available there.

Steelers have no 2nd round pick and since they screwed up the QB situation worse than imaginable, they go with Dart in Rd. 1. And not only Rd. 1 but they give up their 3rd or 4th round pick to move up to get him.

Make this make sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now this is just nonsense. Step back from the ledge, it's going to be ok...we were never going to win the Super Bowl this year anyway. A messed up QB situation just pushes the day that Tomlin is gone that much closer.

Massive help on the DL, a corner opposite Porter, a new RB1, depth with potential to start on the OL, an intriguing QB prospect, a TE to take Pruitt's spot and maybe push Heyward off the roster, and a slot DB to give Beanie some competition. This would be a damn solid draft.

Starting to like Leavitt

Read an article where Hines was comparing him to Ben

From what I’ve watched from him a lot to like as a mid round prospect

That is my mock. Don't like it, fine. No need for name calling. All mocks are nonsense. If they take Rodgers, I do think they go QB in the first round. If not, they better have a serious starter capable QB as QB2 because the odds of the old man making it through even one season are well below 50%.

Why would they trade up for him when they likely could trade back and still get him?

Aww shucks, forgot what organization we were talking about…sell the farm
And go get that man 😂

There was no name calling. But the sky isn't falling, again we weren't winning the Super Bowl.

Really depends on what Cleveland and NYG do with their first picks, but trading back you should have a shot at him if that's the target. I'd be happier with Shough tho, everyone concerned about his age and injury history...a broken leg and collar bone are hardly injuries that you are concerned about, and so what if he's 25 and will turn 26 in Sept. If he ends up being as good as the potential that's there, you can still get 8-10 years of solid QB play. He has the size, the arm talent, and can move around really well. What's the worst that happens, he's Mason Rudolph?

Exactly. My mock further shows how stupid they are operating right now. Them trading up for a QB would not surprise me. I see no way they trade away next years 1st or 2nd round picks even to move far up as next years draft is in Pittsburgh.
