He walked away from 14.5 million franchise tag and sat out the season in 2018, he then signed a four year contract with the jets for 13.2 million a year the following season, about 26 million guaranteed which was what he eventually earned. He was done after two seasons.

He left 14.5 million dollars on the table to prove a point I guess and then signed for less than the long term contract reportedly offered by Pittsburgh in 2017. F$$king Brilliant

They offered him top dollar. He want to be paid like a WR.
He went to the Jets for less money and was nowhere near as good.

Stupid take. He was offered 15 mil per, which was too much for a rb... he turned it down csuse he wanted 17 mil per... ultimately he lost money cause he was a dumbass..

Offering an overmarket deal to a guy who goes chasing rainbows elsewhere is not being cheap

That was all 100% on him. He knows it too. Big mistake on his part and he certainly paid for it.

That ship sailed years ago. I do appreciate what he did while he was a Steeler.
