Wonder what Australia's policy is on aid to migrants? I have no idea, but brought back a memory when I had an independent pharmacy in NW PA in the mid 70's. There was a family, clan, if you will that lived off of PA's dime, and one day the head welcher came in and said that he and his brood were leaving for Georgia. When I informed him that Georgia did not have a Medicaid plan yet, he just stood there and stared at me. As far as I know they're still in PA.
Protest in the 'Burgh tomorrow. I predict less than 100 people.

He said his spouse is Australian, so his family won't be migrants, although he will be. He'll discover we're a lot more rigorous on migrant "entitlements" (including voting enrolment) than certain states in your part of the world. We generally require migrants and temporary residents to have private health insurance until they become permanent residents (not sure if that includes spousal visas).
Hopefully the state he is going to will be the Democratic People's Republic of Victoria as I assume they will be most closely aligned with his political views, given he's leaving because you guys weren't willing to elect a Marxist.
If you read the comments the "guy" has been placed on administrative leave. Also he served jailtime for a hazing incident in 2014. One of the pledges died to to excessive drinking and supposedly this "guy" supplied the alcohol. They also list his contact info.....
