Like a said a year ago it's time to Peyton Manning Ben

Oh and Davis scores 24 points a game in his 4 starts while Ben averages 20.7, Davis beat the only common opponent , Tampa Bay, while of course Ben **** the bed against them. Davis has also played great against Dallas and Philadelphia, much better teams than Ben has lost to.

Really with all the problems this team has we are going to have a Ben vs Davis debate????? SMFH :confused::confused:

The point is many on this site think Ben is irreplaceable and we go back to the Kordell, Brister or Malone years. The truth is QBs that can put up similar stats and more points are fond all over the NFL today and an undrafted free agent that was cut this year like Davis can come in and do better than Ben against a tougher schedule and with less weapons further shows that gicving Ben a new contract for 20 million or more a year is just bad business for a team that needs a total makeover.

Sorry if the facts don't jibe with your love for Ben . Ben has played poorly in all are losses and poorly in two of our wins, yippeee.

I understand what your saying and yeah I am a Ben fan but I also agree he is part of the problem. There are few....FEW qb's in the NFL right now that could play 5 games behind this oline never mind 16. With all that said Davis an undrafted qb on a bad team has no place to be compared or talk about with Ben. Ben has a lot of flaws but he also has a lot that other qb's would love to have, he is tough and experienced. You get what you get with Ben but he has 2 rings and a ton of wins, I am not ready to see him go. JMO

This Oline stuff is bullshit. With a worse line last year Ben was only sacked 7 times in the last 8 games by getting rid of the ball quickly, this year he is back to playing playground ball and refusing to get rid of the ball quickly. I have loved what Ben has done for the Steelers but I would not resign a non cerebral QB that has never mastered the finer points of the position to a new contract when he turns 35 .

Ben had Cotch last year who caught a ton of balls down the seams. J. Brown is no replacement to Cotch and Moore is even worse. We need a competent receiver who has the will and the size to get open in the middle of the field. We do not have that guy yet. Cotch caught 10 TDs last year from Ben which says a lot about Ben's confidence in him to be open and able to catch the ball in a dangerous place on the field. Hines used to be that guy for Ben too. Our guys are too 'slight' who CAN get open and too slow (J Brown) to actually get open.

IMO, we don't need an Anquan Boldin but a Cotchery caliber weapon would have been good enough. Cotch made his living in NY catching balls where other receivers were ineffective.

I don't feel the same does Ben hold the ball to long sometimes yes but you can't put it all on him. If you think this oline is good....hell even fair your nuts. Like I said is Ben part of the problem yeah I think everyone on this team is but trading Ben is not the answer and comparing him to Davis is wrong.

Top 4 in total offense and avging 400 yrds total offense is horrible ? They can move it between the 20's all ****** day.......they just cant finish the deal. They rank only behind Dallas in rushing yards in the league. This offense trumps output of New Orleans, Denver, Cincy AND Philadelphia, yet in points per game output it trails the Redskins, Giants and St Louis (w a 3rd string QB). Antonio Brown is 2nd in the league in receptions and has 100-yrds receiving in all but one game. Bell is maybe 2nd, behind DeMarco Murray in rushing yards. So, we are using those weapons like a mutherfucker. We are a famined group in the red zone. If we fix that problem, generate turnovers on defense and eliminate penalties we certainly arent 3-3 at this point.

Ben is the reason we struggle in the redzone. He can't make quick reads ... He can't throw recievers open... He likes to see a guy come open before he tosses it... That's why you almost never see an easy pitch and catch in the endzone when it comes to the Steelers... Ben sees a guy flash open (which is when the ball should be hitting him) , throws it, and by the time it gets there a defender has closed the gap and is challenging for the ball. It's really not that complicated. Ben has had 3 different coordinators but one thing has been constant... We suck at scoring touchdowns in the redzone.

This team is in dyer need of talent. We need better players. Period. The best way is through the draft. High draft picks that is. Trade Ben(he's wasting his time here) aka Peyton manning for a **** load of draft picks. Go from there.

This thread is as bad as your spelling...
