Something is going to have to happen league wide. It seems to many QBs are getting concussed and I’m sure the competition commitee will be looking at it.

It may be mandatory equipment (QBs only), even more cautionary QB rules or free-er thrown flags.

One of the immediate that I see is there will not be an ”out of pocket / turned into runner” rule. KP last concussion was due to that. YOU won’t get to “unload” on a QB regardless of what he is doing.

I didn’t like Pickett missing time so I think something will come along to this degree.

I just hope t*mmyb*y is knocked for a loop, hard enough to keep playing but also hard enough to hurt / beat up.

Head hits have been illegal for a couple years. People (not just QB's) are getting concussed from their heads hitting the turf.

Here is the hit they think Tua got the concussion. I don't know if the stats are totally relevant, but maybe some indicator something was wrong. I would assume Tua will get shut down for the rest of the season. Pickett just switched to the Riddell Axiom helmet and I believe I read Freiermuth is wearing it as well. I don't know if Tua switched to it, but the team doctors recommended it for Pickett and he smartly made the switch.

I'd like to know how that helmet is better at guarding against concussions vs other helmets

The issue isn’t that they are suddenly getting more concussions, its that in response to the Tua injury the first time, they league went overly cautious with their assessments… literally anything can trip the increased protocols now… so most of these guys missing time probably aren’t actually dealing with concussions like we’d traditionally think of them.. like someone said earlier, if you get hit hard and have any symptoms, even if they are related to something else entirely, like a sinus or allergies headache, they are just assuming it’s a concussion… im not even arguing that tgey are wrong, but if tgey are gonna do that they should expand rosters by several spots
 
with the battleship that Freiermuth now wears, it should be impossible for any head injury. that thing is like 3-feet wide and 5-feet long
 
Some humans are just not physically capable of playing tackle football in the NFL.

All this concussions discussion and heightened awareness, will be the beginning of the end of tackle football as we have come to know it.

With the lawsuits pending and many more to come....My prediction is that the NFL will put flags on the QB's some day...
Just pull the flag and get the sack...
Which will make Jack Lambert happy lol...hey at least it aint a dress!!
