Looks like we lost Najee and Watt for the year but I hope not.

A few on the Bungles board gave credit to the Steelers D.
This bungle fan however took a lot of flak.

Why, more often than not, do the Cincinnati Bengals turn into milquetoast wimps and allow the Steelers’ defense to beat them up on the playground for lunch money?

I’ve been watching the same scenario for decades and I’m sick of it. Why does the Bengals’ offense just take it? More important, why can’t the Bengals’ defense do that too?

I know the NFL desires a high scoring television-friendly game. With that said there’s a lot to be said for a shutdown defense; the Bengals’ defense played technically well today — props to Lou Anarumo — but Pittsburgh is going to win a lot of games playing their punishing style of defense. Every hit they make is jarring, they throw players around, and they intimidate.

The Steelers’ defense scared Joe Burrow today. They made Ja’Marr Chase look tentative. I haven’t seen that since the 2021 preseason.

Maybe Zac Taylor should have played the first team offense in preseason. It shows poor judgment to put the first team out there in Week One with minimal contact and especially against the Steelers.
I didnt see Burrow scared or Chase tentative, but I agree w/ the rest for the most part. I mean Chase had 10 catches for 130 yards and Burrow had almost 340. Special teams / coaching is what cost the Bengals. they didnt challenge the one TD and they didnt run off the clock when they punted. The TD was iffy, but the not using the clock on the punt was just very poor on their part.

yes, that's true. it only took 7 sacks, 5 bengals turnovers, their qb playing arguably the worst game of his young career to date, a miracle blocked extra point, and an entire overtime period. but yes, you're correct, the Steelers are 1-0.
SOOOOOOOO you are saying everything went according to how they drew it up in the lab ???????
Onto New England

Meh ive heard multiple Bengals fans insist that we are a terrible team that just got lucky… they blamed the refs a whole bunch despite only having 4 penalties, 2 of which were false starts… and gave a free pass to joe exotic because he was “ rusty”… (those turnovers were not from “rust”. He was very careless with the ball. That was just a young qb coming off of a SB appearance believing the hype…

Cinci remains trash… they have a legit Qb now and like I said when they got him… that culture there will ruin him if their oline doesn’t get him killed first

I was talking to Tunch, so I was strangely comfortable there at the end... I'll see if I can hook up with him again this week.
I'll suggest a blow out win this time, so you whiny bastids will shuddup.

Belechick has always been good at having guys who my not be household names play solid football. Hopefully Flores can bring that to Pittsburgh.
Wig shakes his head...
