Make it happen Omar!

That's good. That's kind of my point. If you have the other tools, speed is a differentiator. It takes the top off a defense. My original point is that there's no way that Tate is getting picked in the top 5-7 due solely to his 40. There's a chance he'll be there at 21, but likely go between 12-16.

ADDED: It's like saying hand size doesn't matter for a quarterback because some QBs have small hands and are good and some QBs with big hands aren't good. It still matters. It's one data point.

OK, that makes sense, and a lot of the guys I mentioned dropped in the draft, probably because of the lack of elite speed. If Tate is there at 21 I hope we run to the podium to select him. He's a stud.

We need to draft some top notch offensive linemen. Our O line was manhandled by the Texans in the playoffs

Lemon will be gone, so who would you then take at #21?
BPA who is not a linebacker (LB back in if they let Queen go via trade or cut), tight end or running back (obviously not kicker, punter, long snapper etc either).

One could say our defensive line also got their ***** handed to them in the Texans game also.. as well as many others during the season, especially defending the run.

Steelers need a pure nose tackle in 34 alignment to be successful on defense.

They already have two firsts and a second invested in the offensive line. They can find quality interior players later.
It's not about what's invested, especially previous regime investments. We are currently minus a starting LT. Jones future is very uncertain, and not just this year, but overall. And Cook ain't it. In all my mocks (and I'll admit this year is a little less predictable beyond #1), I've taken an OT in the first or second round.

Yup, Cook ain’t it and others have had that injury BJ had be a career ender.

I’d say half the time I try a mock a tackle is the pick.

Financially taking the expensive positions in the 1st & 2nd just makes sense because those rookie contracts are crucial to cap management…QB, WR, T, CB, EDGE are all pricey af in free agency

We’ve got some serious needs in some of those areas at QB, WR and T

One of the firsts (Fautanu) was a plug and play. Unfortunately he got injured. The other was a physical specimen with technical flaws. He was never going to be a day one starter and may never be a solid OT.

Whatever they get in the first round no matter the position has to be ready to play or close.
