Pretty much all of Cowher’s assistants from 05 were still here in 08. Whiz left and was replaced by The Bruce, who was already here, and Dick Hoak retired, but almost everyone else was already here.

Kinda like the 4 QB's that have struggled here - even when the line manages once in a blue moon to protect them. Shades and Duh. I swear, watching this offensive play is mind boggling. The replays on TV look like a backyard clusterfack compared to the good teams, and even some of the so-so ones.

They started all of that short passing crap right before him. That 11-0 start went right up in flames when teams started stacking the line.

They've ignored the offensive line for years. No top tier talent until the Jones pick this year. Gosh Ben's last year they gave him Green for center. What a joke that was.

8 games in ( including Tenn. where he won't get a start)and he still is on the bench. With mediocre play at LT and RT.

With an O-line that hasn't performed well.

Just oddball head shaking scenarios.
 
Did anyone catch Tomlin’s comment about the turnovers the defense caused? He said something along the lines of “yeah they forced turnovers, but they weren’t advantageous enough for us to do anything with.” I swear, I don’t know how anyone can rally behind this guy anymore. You took the ball away three times, giving your offense more possessions, while taking away scoring chances from the opposition. What the **** do you mean they weren’t advantageous enough? So, hey, defense, If you’re not going to score a td on an int/fumble return, don’t even ******* bother taking it away.

It wasn’t just that. Many of our opponents had starters out with the ‘Rona that year and the Steelers were relatively unaffected. When everyone got healthy that 11-0 start evaporated and the lost 4 of their last 5 IIRC and the usual first round playoff exit.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they need an OL coach. Things have looked like trash for far too long. They masked it with Ben just getting the ball out in 2 seconds or less his last few years. Which was a lack of talent also. They still need a C who is the qb of the line.

They're going to need another QB at the rate this is going.

I get trying to let rookies learn and not just throwing them to the wolves,but when you're better than the starter, they've got to put you in.

Hmmm.
You know, KP may have more int's than TD's and some folks are calling him a franchise player.
Mitch probably throws 30 passes a week to some guys who won't ever see the field and he should be cut.

One often wonders if this offensive scheme isn't just garbage.

This is probably the thing that makes the least sense out of all the dumb **** this teams does. Jones on the bench at this point is dumb. Stupid. Retarded. It’s like they are trying to lose.

Exactly and they seen a glimpse of him play and he did well. They are finally giving Joey Jr. the start. Does Moore or Chukes have to suck as bad as Wallace and or Peterson to get a start?
