True although the arrow has been pointing down for some time.
That is what she said..
True although the arrow has been pointing down for some time.
see, what you're not understanding is that it's a lot more comfortable for the Tomlin Haters to be able to make a complete 180 on players they do not like than it is Tombert since Tombert must live with their decisions and do not have a
in their arsenal.
Lol come on berm, you're smarter than to whip up THIS ridiculous retort
and this is precisely why you are not an NFL GM.All teams have an easy button. It's called moving on from the player and looking elsewhere. And many successful teams do it, whether it costs in the short term or not. It's not like we were FORCED by some NFL bylaw to lock up Gilbert, Cortez, Worilds, etc. Or forced to start Cam Thomas or Ramon Foster.
and this is precisely why you are not an NFL GM.
your entire ******* salary cap would be bogged down with dead weight from cutting players 11 games into the season and filling their roster spot with street free agents.
no, no one said we should lock up Gilbert...nor Cortez...nor even Worilds,
That, in fact, was never stated by anyone on this board.
In his tenure here, has Coach Tomlin had a LOSING SEASON??? How many??? This is all I - no, we, the "Tomlin-apologists" want to know.
he sucks and you're all about getting rid of guys whose needle are not pointing up, obviously. Not sure I would "cut" guys 11 games into any season. I just know I wouldn't be as married to awful players as you seem to think NFL teams are. I said "11 games"... when?
uh, no. I never, ever said that. In fact, if you exercised your eyeballs and practiced reading comprehension instead of reading what you want, I clearly stated that no one here said we should lock those guys up. For ****'s sake, you even QUOTED me stating that....but we did. The FO locked up the first two and handed the third about 5x his worth for this year. According to you, the front office had NO. CHOICE. They must live with their decisions and can't do 180s, remember?
well, clearly, if someone sucks, you're driving the train to lead them out of town. so if we hand someone a good portion of our salary cap to bring them into the fold and then cut them, as you state certain players should be, but not state that you would want to do just that since that would mean that a player who sucks can suck as long as he is someone you once had a hard-on for but do not have a hard-on for any longer since that player sucks, but doesn't quite suck to a certain degree that would define his suckitude, yet he does suck because he sucks and we shouldnt have signed him, even if you stated that he could or would nail down the position at an all-pro level for many years to come, though his play is nothing better than someone we'd be forced to sign off the street if cut since we'd owe money...and I'm sure that if you could take a firm stance on something instead of being wishy washy and not exactly stating something but using incredulous adjectives to describe exactly what you would do or want to do without actually doing just that, then, well, things could or would prove that you're goddamn genius just waiting to be tapped to take over a clearly floundering enterprise and be the directional rudder that they most obviously need. And since your modus operandi is to cherry pick players and use some stats to show that they're good or not good or maybe really good, but not really, really good nor elite, but just ok, but not average, but better than good but not so good that they could be called good since then you'd be pegged into admitting something, I refuse to cherry pick any player at all that you may or may not want to sign simply because it would go right along with how you like to post clearly nothing worthwhile whatsoever, but prefer to **** all over others' opinions just because that is the type of ****-******* ************ you really are.Did I ever say it was? But while we're on the subject.. whom did I say we should cut "11 games into the season"? And which "street free agents" did I want to sign?
Superman said:GRRRRRRR stupid keyboard *keys go flying*
yet one more quality post by you.Yeesh, dude
No but he has missed the playoffs 3 times in 7 years and counting, 2 years in a row and we haven't won a playoff game in 5 years, all with a franchise QB and a HOF DC. He is what he is, a mediocre coach whose team has fallen as the previous regime's players have gotten old, retired or have gotten less effective. If you like mediocrity, enjoy these are now Tomlin's Steelers.

What the hell is going on over there in Steeler land? I just read on ESPN and CBS Sports that Mike Mitchell the outstanding safety (at least in his mind) of the Pittsburgh Steelers, pulled a real classy move on Twitter.
He responds on two separate occasions telling one person that they can just die and the other he tells them they will die broke. What the hell is it with the F/A's that we've been signing here? I never remember this ever happening with F/A's we've signed in the past, guys like Farrior, Hartings, Wayne Gandy, Mewelde Moore, Ray Seals, and so on.
This guy in my opinion has been a total bust on and off the field. We've gotten rid of one model citizen and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they dumped this turd as well.
