I agree with local sports scribes who put the odds at 50/50.
Shades would like to stay and the team would like him to stay but if Deuce and Omar have a single brain cell between them, they take hiring assistants and coordinators away from him. That would be a deal breaker.
 
So if Tomlin gets no blame for a loss then he damn sure deserves no credit for a win…. It was the players right?

Tomlin should have started Mason a few weeks ago but this last ditch effort is typical Tomlin.

They will lose the next 2 games and everyone can stop talking about never had a losing season nonsense.

You do realize that yesterday's result is what is expected from the man week in and week out. Putting up 30 points once every two years is unacceptable. I get it, he beat the Bungles again so we're all supposed to fawn all over him like he won the Super Bowl.
 
Bengals are only average without Burrow. We beat an average team after losing to the bottom of the barrel teams. Now we extend tomlins contract? Crazy.
 
Mike Tomlin's brilliance is the only reason the Steelers were able to remain competitive, at home, against two juggernaut 2-10 teams. Those two 2-10 teams are in reality the best-of-the-best, dominant teams threatening to make the #1 draft pick playoffs and yet coach Mike kept the overmatched Steelers competitive against those behemoths.

If you want another fairly recent example, look at how well Coach Mike's team did against the Bills and Eagles last year ... never mind. Those were anomalies. Look at Coach Mike's recent playoff rec ... never mind.

Never had a losing season!!

The Tomlin Fan Club on social media believes that he is merely an innocent bystander and through sheer willpower and football genius manages to never have a losing season while dealing with the moron assistant coaches and ne’er-do-well players foisted on him by the front office.

Might the Ravens might not need to win the last game? Then Shades will escape with a "non-losing" record once again. Cherish.
