As a fan at this point.....that is all you can hope for. The extension will happen most likely.Greatest coach ever.
I agree with local sports scribes who put the odds at 50/50.
Shades would like to stay and the team would like him to stay but if Deuce and Omar have a single brain cell between them, they take hiring assistants and coordinators away from him. That would be a deal breaker.
Cant control how people feel or say...I swear to god some of yinz are truly sad we won because of a hate for Tomlin. I get the frustration but come on.
I am in Cape Coral for Christmas and only have my future son in law around to rag on.Cant control how people feel or say...
But I'm sure things are peachy in Southwest Ohio today!

I’m sure Tomlin is a stand up guy. But the continued trend he’s shown since 2011(lack of leadership, lack of playoff wins) is going to draw criticismI swear to god some of yinz are truly sad we won because of a hate for Tomlin. I get the frustration but come on.
I know Jay Glazer brought this up previously, but since he talked about it on the pregame show today and he's pretty tight with Tomlin I thought I'd add it to this thread.
I get it. I am not opposed to making him coach out his contract. I just think some of it is overblown and some of it is his fault for actually winning games we may in the long run have been better off losing to replenish the cupboard. By winning he doesn’t get to have higher picks and therefore we stay stuck where we are. At the same time I can never ever root to lose a game and don’t want a coach who let us intentionally lose. I do think he has to be forced to change his hiring philosophy if he is staying.Wash, rinse, repeat.
Finish in the middle, draft in the middle, always stay in the middle.
Another non losing season is upon us by hay, greatest coach ever.
Go try being mediocre in your profession. You won’t get far. But hay, greatest coach ever,
He very may well be. Pittsburgh is scared of change for some reasonI told you he would be here in 2030.![]()
I read this somewhere
Tomlin needs gone.I swear to god some of yinz are truly sad we won because of a hate for Tomlin. I get the frustration but come on.
I don't hate Mike Tomlin the person but Mike Tomlin the coach ******* sucks, and I am so sick of this non losing season **** I can't ******* stand it. I will be the first to admit I was hoping to lose out the rest of the year for a couple of reasons. first we get a pick probably around 11 or so and second we get rid of the non losing season bullshit.I swear to god some of yinz are truly sad we won because of a hate for Tomlin. I get the frustration but come on.
I'm really happy for the win but it does likely cement an extension. I'm just praying for a Christmas miracle that Tomlin finally hires competent coordinators on both sides of the ball. And expands the staff to reflect modern NFL levels. Praying, but not expecting.I swear to god some of yinz are truly sad we won because of a hate for Tomlin. I get the frustration but come on.

I just have a hard time buying into this premise. At one point he had a defense with 9 starters who were 1st or second round picks, an offense with generational talents at QB, RB and receiver and he did next to nothing with them. He's had talent, he's just never been able to build a team that could take advantage of it.I get it. I am not opposed to making him coach out his contract. Don't you read the thread topics? Why isn’t anyone talking about how mediocre a coach Mike Tomlin is?

The Steelers show capability but under Tomlin will have that chance of mediocrity. It’s been time to part ways for awhile.I loved yesterday's game.
What I cannot stomach is the fact the Steelers are what they showed yesterday, but LOST at home to two dogshit teams and then were absolutely routed by a very mediocre Colts team when they were in "playoff mode."
Should I be happy that a restaurant which served me (1) a homeless guy's barf puddle, (2) spoiled leftovers from a litter box, (3) a plastic bag filled with dog poop, and (4) an amazing bacon-covered prime-rib?
Because we have 97 threads about the same topic. Why isn’t anyone talking about how mediocre a coach Mike Tomlin is?
