So that leaves KP as the only QB likely on the roster next year. Probably can pick up a Garner Minshew or Drew Lock if we are lucky or a Andy Dalton at the very least.

The truth comes out.

I mean he had the job and it was his to lose and he lost it.. that goes for any team he couldve signed with. He really had a better opportunity to start and succeed here than anywhere else. If he played for the Jets, Titans, Dolphins, or any other team he would've been benched and done after 1 season as well.

Splain somethin' to me Lucy, he signed a two year contract, or does that not mean anything these days?
He has a year left, so tough luck. Someone, like his wife, needs to explain to him that being the backup for starter money and not getting beat up every week isn't a bad gig.

That is a plus. Also, he threw two touchdown passes in his first four games. Mitch played himself out of the starting job as the Steelers were going to be satisfied with Pickett as the backup all year.

No one here likes him, but can you blame Mitch. Tomlin brought him to be the starter then they draft Kenny then Tomlin is forced to play Kenny.

I didnt read anything about him signing in Pitt. just how fast he did it. trade or play here are the options

They are not paying him next season to be a backup. He would count 8 million against the cap and that’s too much for him.
They will sign a less expensive backup and draft someone late as the third QB.

Meh when we sign a backup they aren’t going to be dirt cheap.. so we may save a million dollars or so… he was just another bad signing… like Gunner..

Is this revelation really necessary right now? 2days left and chance to still possibly get in the dance?

I read the article. I think OP is making it out to be more than it really is. No shocker there.
Mitch is under contract. Unless he requests out he should be back... I don't think that will come to pass.

Maybe Chicago has a second round pick available in 2024? Him and Chase can be reunited.

He and Clowney can sign with some second rate loser team… we should have saved cap space and just let Rudolph start… he couldn’t have been less effective
Tomlin and the FO all said they didn't think Pickett would be there when they drafted. Mitch says he signed too soon and I agree, the Steelers should have waited until after the draft. I'm sure the team's plan was for him to be the starter but when Pickett was still there they had to take him.

8 million can probably resign Sutton. I would rather have Doubs back for 2 million and Sutton on defense than Trubisky.
