“After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party the opportunity to become our next nominee.”

Best news I've heard all day.

Team Bush can raise money quickly, and has tapped one of Romney's chief strategists. Its down to Jeb Bush vs. Rand Paul. Bush wins. By wrapping things up early team Bush can focus on his ground forces in key states ( Ohio, Penn, Virginia, Colorado ) instead of campaigning from state to state to get the nomination. I live in Florida, which is the key must have state for both parties. Jeb did a good job here and is respected.

As for Hillary Clinton, she has lost that new car smell. There's a good amount of baggage ( some of it recent ) to exploit. Clinton will be 69 years old on election day. She has aged in dog years recently ( health issues ) and might not be up for a hard fought campaign.

Jeb/Romney?

'I'm Sure Today's Decision Was Not Easy'

"There are few people who have worked harder to elect Republicans across the country than he has. Though I’m sure today’s decision was not easy, I know that Mitt Romney will never stop advocating for renewing America’s promise through upward mobility, encouraging free enterprise and strengthening our national defense. Mitt is a patriot and I join many in hoping his days of serving our nation and our party are not over. I look forward to working with him to ensure all Americans have a chance to rise up" - JEB

Beat me to it.

Maybe this will set up a Bush/ Paul debate in the party. We don't need another Bush in the WH. He isn't even a dem lite.. he's a dem heavy.

Bush has a moderate voting record, but keep in mind Florida is 17% black, and 24% Latino. I think Bush can get more of the Latino vote in the USA which could swing the election. Next to Hillary Clinton, Jeb is rather conservative.

Consider Bush's positions and actions during his two terms as Florida governor:

He opposed abortion and even declared, "I'm probably the most pro-life governor in modern times" after signing legislation in 2003 that allowed - controversially - Terri Schiavo's feeding tube to be reinserted, despite her husband's wishes
He cut taxes and supported gun rights;
He eliminated affirmative-action policies for university admissions and state hiring;
And when asked how a welfare mother could survive without public assistance, he suggested that she either get a job or get a husband.
Those positions make it hard to compare Bush to past GOP centrists like Nelson Rockefeller, Rudy Giuliani or even Jon Huntsman.

Consider that Bush

1. Is for open borders and legalization of all illegals here.

2. He is for common core standards

3. He's criticized other Reps. for not being "tolerant" enough.

4. He criticized the party for moving to far to the right.

5. He doesn't even believe in medical mary jane.

I'd rather have Romney than Bush. He's a left leaning Rep. All those things you listed from "NBC" have been done by other Reps without the bullshit open borders and common core. We don't need another dynasty in the form of Bush III. I don't care about his pro-life stance since a president has nothing to do with abortion. I don't care about Schiavo because the president has nothing to do with feeding tubes. If he ever won he'd be just like his brother... you remember the guy that loved charter schools so much that he let Ted Kennedy write the education bill? Jeb is a RINO and not far from Clinton on many issues.

A big part of the reason Romney lost is because he's a rich, old, boring white guy. Bush will have the same problem. We need somebody more dynamic and appealing to women, minorities, and ignoramuses who vote solely on soundbites and personality. While I personally can't stand Hilary, she has very high approval rating among the uninformed masses.

Hell no ******* way!!!!!!No more Bush. Time to trim that Bush down. We don't need entire ******* families in the White House.This isn't some monarchy. If this is the best we can do then we are ******. I am 100% sure Bush can't win the presidency. The sooner he figures that out the better off we all are.

It doesn't matter, HIllary will wipe the floor with whoever she faces anyways. The masses will be VERY interested in making history happen again for the 2nd time in a row. Typical non voters will turn out in droves.

Which is why I hope a woman (preferably conservative) wins the republican nomination. Unfortunately, none have expressed interest yet.

This matchup would assure that I vote 3rd party.

This is what it takes?

Not the fact that there isn't a hill of beans worth of difference between the GOP and the DNC?

Hillary is unelectable. Too many skeletons will pop out of her closet. Come on Reps! Trot out Rand and you get my vote.

Wrong.

The reason he lost is because he wasn't all that conservative and the party base was split. Many ACTUAL conservatives like myself took our votes elsewhere instead of voting for DNC-Lite. The USA is still a conservative skewing nation and if the GOP wants to win they need to remember that their core values are small government, low taxes, fiscal responsibility, personal accountability and LIBERTY. Big government, the surveillance state and perpetual war are things that are bad for the country and best left to the Neo-Socialists.

Hildabeast should have no shot at winning if they don't trot out some dinosaur.She is scum unworthy of that office or any office in the federal government.

did you have to post "69" and "smell" in a thread about Hillary? I will now be puking until kickoff of the SB.

i agree 100%. If the repubs roll out Bush 3.0 it is gonna be like the 2005 vs. the JV team at your local HS

I know that's what you think.

I wish I had as much confidence as you seem to in the intelligence of the electorate. The fact that anyone let this ******** get elected again negates any hope of that for me.
