Move Timmons

wht about activating Feeney for sub packages what needs to be done in the nickel is less 2-4-5 bc without cam now Matthews is not as big or stout and the same thing will happen when we had Ziggy, we need to run either a 3-3-5 or 4-2-5 Get good pressure with 4.
Big Dan needs a increase in his reps as dallas was called for 2 holding penalties b/c they could not stop him try something like De Moats/Walton DT Hargrave BG McCullers RE Matthews and the 2 LB Shazier and Harrison, unless you are gonna blitz LT on a cross. or Shazier lines as a cover 2 S under and strong side deebo wam Timmons. you cannot have Timmons dropping back 10 yards he simply doesn't have that speed he did 3-6 years ago. Butler cant sit their as a arm chair dc with the primary book that DL created and he just replaced clogging De with penetrating now he needs to create some different looks or his *** has got to go and likely will.

Timmons easily had his best game of the year today. He was all over the place and laying the lumber!

Good idea OP.. After that showing, and the fat ball of NOTHING we've been getting from most of our OLB's this year, I think you have to rotate Timmons to the edge for whatever snaps JJ would normally get from here on out. We have Vince Williams and Dirty Red to play inside. And with Dupree coming back, we can have a nice OLB rotation of Dupree-Chick-Timmons-Harrison, with little to no dropoff inside. I think this is a necessity at this point. Good foresight on the part of the guy who made this thread

They aren't going to move Timmons to the outside, no matter how much some fans will it. What you will see is Moats and Chickillo and Dupree and Harrison holding down the fort. Perhaps when Dupree gets the start it will be him and Deebo for the majority of snaps...

Put your best 4 LB's on the field at all times. They rotate any way. Many times I saw Harrison in the middle either on the line or dropping back in coverage.

Lawrence Timmons has always played out of position. The few times he's come from the outside he's been a beast. It could be a game changer for this defense . At this point what would it really hurt ?? At least on passing downs why not let him have a try coming off the edge . We have got to get pressure

I know it looks bad but Artie burns is coming on and what if ( big if ) but what if Gilbert can pick it up by end of the year???? You make a move with Timmons and get Dupree back on left side and we could be in business...

Still use James in his packages ..

I ask at this time what could it hurt to give it a try. I've seen Timmons come off the edge a few times and it was usually pretty good looking ..

Good call w/ Timmons at OLB today!!!

Yes exactly what I said at least a month ago.

after the game deemo timmon shazier moats
nickel DE hargrave DT Tuitt dt mcullers
olb shazier mlb harrison olb timmons
cb burns cb cockrell cb gay s mitchell s davis

I don't think Timmons was playing OLB. He moved outside and blitzed several tlmes and caught the Browns trying to protect with a back. But we did have an OLB on that side engaging the tackle. Nice piece of coaching.

Lol absolutely...

Hey I know he may not have be officially lined up as a outside LB.. But still they brought him from the edge and he made a tremendous difference .. I know he's getting some age but for the folks that commented on this thread that it wouldn't work what are your thoughts now ? maybe they don't bring him in base packs maybe they just keep blitzing him , I don't care . Just so long as they keep bringing him some from the edge. That's al that matters. We've got to try something. Like I keep saying at this point what's it gonna hurt?

Sometimes coaches out think themselves. They bring a CB or safety or try to trick this or trick that.
I say just line up and bring shaizer or Timmons as your 5th or 6th blitzer. Bring your talent and let them run over a back.

Anyway no matter what I hope we keep seeing Timmons come after the passer.
He made a game changing hit, a sack , another sack he created and a hurry. The guy was extremely disruptive. And that's a fact

Nice call but clearly your post couldn't get the move to happen as mine did. Lol.
It's pretty obvious our staff followed my lead here is it not ??

Seriously I'm just glad they are bringing him on sons pressure... Shaizer to. Let that kid bring some heat like they use to do with a rookie Kendrell bell before the injuries

I'd like to see more pressure from Ryan and Lawrence and less from CB and safeties
I know we are trying to fool people etc.. But it's not working that much so why not just line up and bring your best talent

All I know is this if I were opposing team QB and coordinator I would be concerned if I saw Timmons and Harrison with hands in the ground headed towards me . I hope we see more of it

Exactly what happened. Great game LT but I don't think any of those rushes were against OL

Timmons looked good on the outside because he had a couple of plays where he was poorly blocked by RBs or completely unblocked because the LT was blocking Harrison.

I agree. I think everyone knows it was the scheme that got him some good looks but my point is he still got the job done by coming off edge. I've seen many many times this year our olb be blocked by RB and TE and not get the job done. Timmons was used well in some good schemes. No Matter what why or how it was still good to see him and Ryan blitzing more than normal
