Thanks for posting that and I'm really happy to see it. I take back what I said earlier.

Don't forget Lebeau and Arians as well.Diver, you are probably correct.
The Steeler FO did a great job with the retirement of Hines and Troy too.
The only time you saw Dan or Art2 on the sidelines were for special presentations. Player recognition by the club, important anniversaries, or now the Ring of Honor. The Chief always sat in his box and would meet the players in the locker room after a game to thank them win or lose. It’s recorded by the writers in the press box, that The Chief was on his way down the elevator at Three Rivers to the locker room to thank the players even though he thought they lost. He wasn’t sure what the crowd roaring was about because he didn’t see the immaculate reception play. Dan continued his Dad‘s practice and thanked each player in the locker room and visited the locker room frequently during the season. Art2 has carried on the tradition as well, but obviously isn’t seen as Dan or Chief because they were like father figures.I don’t recall many photos or broadcasts where any of the Rodney’s were on the sidelines. There’s the well-known moment of the Chief being presented his first Lombardi in the locker room…but just standing on the sidelines? My memory isn’t pulling anything. I know ceremonies and after SBs on stage…but just lingering on the sidelines? That’s reserved for the Jerry Joneses, Eddie Debartalos and Dan Snyders of the NFL.
Arians was Art2’s first learning experience about how not to handle moving on from a coordinator. It hasn’t happened again so far.Don't forget Lebeau and Arians as well.
Just a couple comments and a question.FWIW, my problem with the Deuce isn't Ben's last game at home.
Its that Steeler Nation got spoiled with the combination of The Chief and Mr. Dan Rooney, and then still had positive leadership with Mr. Dan Rooney plus the Deuce.
But since its just the Deuce, very little has gone the way SN might have hoped. From no SBs to ****** handling of those star Steelers, to rolling over on the BS suspension of Ben, the lack of action on behalf of Deebo's multiple ridiculous fines, no comments on the massive loss, for the Steelers, that resulted from bs non-TD call on Jesse James catch, to the simple acceptance of mediocrity that has defined the last decade of Steeler football, the Deuce has repeatedly been the boss while the standard has been lowered and lowered. He seems feckless and unresected by the league, with the Steelers having little real power in today's NFL.
For whatever its worth, I'm still gonna die a Steeler fan, but I have much less respect for the franchise than before. Maybe that is due to me, to modern times, to the state of the NFL, that ************* ginger Goodell, or maybe the Deuce has just been a poor shadow compared to his father and grandfather.
I really do not want to feel what it is like to be a stains or Jest fan.....
Like I said, he seems feckless to me.Just a couple comments and a question.
Who is to say “ the deuce” hasn’t protested all the situations you presented. Perhaps it was done behind the scene instead of in the limelight. Would seem more like his and the Steelers way.
While I dislike The Rodger ad much as many, I have to kind of chuckle about how he personally gets blamed for every little thing. Like he isn’t getting direct instructions from the owners on all decisions. A very highly paid puppet.
My question is, who would take over the Steelers if something happened to the Duece?
It’s been stated off the record, that privately the FO and Art2 especially expressed disagreement or disappointment towards various adverse situations decided by the league office. We never hear it, because it’s privileged communication. Art2 is on the League Owners Chairman committee replacing his Dad. As is Clark Hunt and John Mara. I believe one of the McCaskey sons are too. Bob McNair was included until his passing and Kraft obviously there because of his TV network and telecommunications connections. However, Goodell has his bro buddies, Biscotti and Stephen Ross who are in his ear as well. The sons of the Old Guard do have power, but it’s been segmented. Clark Hunt I still believe is Labor chairman, and Mara and Art2 are on several sub committees. Art2 is also on the League’s Executive committee due to his significant legal background in Sports, Corporate and Government law. So, his low key approach is representative of his background as a attorney from the late 80s though his appointment as legal counsel for the Steelers by his dad in the 90s.Just a couple comments and a question.
