Najee Harris is slow af

Oh yeah Slash. Can't you see his lack of power. I suppose you don't notice that Watt doesn't play with much of a motor too. Watch the games man.
I don't know his exact statistical YAC but I do know when they talked about it it was up there. Some crazy take on players sometimes.

Lacking power? Not on board with that at all. What do all those teams have in common? Good run blocking lines. I want to see what the kid can do with an improved line before I tag him a deficiency.

Yeah I was like WTF at that too, but then I saw the post was from Le'Veon Bell's mom. This is the sad reality for Najee Harris on most plays right now:

How in the world can a Center be that far out of the play AND on the ground? SMDH

Lacking power?

Yeah, he really lacks power:

Ugh, stupid YouTube and the NFL. It was that vicious stiff arm that put the Raiders defender into the ground hard.

The clip was good. Yeah loved that play.

If he would just run straight ahead and not look around so so much he would average in another yard per carry easily. I know the holes aren’t great but he still dance is too much

I think he is getting a little gun-shy as to he is hit before he can even get to the line of scrimage. O'h Canada isn't helping in the play calling anf OL coach seems nonexistant.

I noticed the bojangles footwork and he is trying to avoid the rush but it coes from all directions so he has to dance a little.

If the play calls would be more straight forward the running and blocking would be better.

Salute the nation

Probably pretty tough adjustment from running behind the Alabama road grade to these fucksticks. And on top of it there has been a revolving door. One thing I know is that he cares and fights for every yard he gets.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If you told me last season the Steelers would take a first round RB and he would have lower yards per carry than James Conner. I would not have believed it?
Speaking of Alabama Harris is putting up Trent Richardson rushing numbers. Almost exactly the same.
Was just hoping for more out of a first round RB??

That's what happens when you have one of the worst run blocking units in the league. The Steelers front office and coaching staff were arrogant thinking a running back was going to fix the ground game with minimal investment into the offensive line.

But wait, the Steelers won the game -- WTF ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT?

Najee is going to be a beast in future years. Mark it down. People saying he can't do this or doesn't do this well are all smoking dope or something. The dude is a rookie running behind the worst O line in the NFL. He has good speed. He has very good power and great athleticism and he plays with a mean attitude. He is still putting up top 10 numbers for the entire NFL at RB. He should easily finish with 1,500+ yards from scrimmage and possibly 10 TD's. He always falls forward when he is immediately hit at the line and gains a yard or two - something Conner couldn't do. 2,000+ scrimmage yards for him in years to come is very doable assuming the line improves and I have no doubt they will.

I disagree with the Conner statement. His issue here was staying healthy. But he was always a physical runner that would initiate contact and fall forward. And he ran behind a pretty bad line as well. He has a much better line and OC in AZ, and he's managed to stay healthy.

I think Najee is going to be good once he gets any kind of running room. Is he the fastest RB? No, I think he lacks a little bit of twitchiness and burst you see in other backs but he has power and runs very hard. I'll gladly take him as our back but his success just like any other RB is all dependent on the OL.

Behind this line we are lucky he hasn't retired already

I think he is very over rated. He’s good he’s just not a major threat. Put me in the should have drafted a lineman group.
Put me in the “should have drafted OL instead of using multiple picks to trade up for Bush” or… “should have drafted OL instead of Washington and Rudolph” or…

He was physical but he always had trouble getting us a yard when we needed it. Najee can get hit at the line or behind the line and still end up falling forward for a yard or two. I liked Conner but he is no Najee that's for sure.
