If he does leave, get traded, retires, etc., who do you want?

Note - This is not a "You have no good candidates, so shut up about him leaving" thread. It's an honest question.

Last year I was saying Ben Johnson or Vrabel.
This year? Nobody jumps out.
Jesse minter if I had to pick one?
Just do not watch as much football as I used to

James Harrison. If a player makes a mistake they'll go stand on the opponent's sideline.

I know everyone wants a fresh, offensive minded coach. But going off Steelers tradition, Kelvin Shepherd has done some nice things in Detroit and has moved up coaching ranks quickly. Curious what others think of someone like that?

I’d like an offensive minded coach especially if we draft a QB in round one.
Clint Kubiak I’ve always liked a lot. Disciple of Kyle Shanahan in SF.
Bobby Slowik…. Form Texan OC who got raw deal here in Houston. Young, innovative and good with young QBs. Also worked under Kyle Shanahan in SF.
Cliff Kingsbury great offensive mind who is very innovative and works well with young QBs. I know, he did not have a good tenure in Arizona but who really does well there.
ND HC Marcus Freeman. I like this guy a lot. Very articulate and seems to relate and work well with the young college kids.
Oh nooooo, what will we do if Coach Shades is gone? The franchise will just dissolve into the Allegheny, Monongahela or the Ohio. Oh no, save us Dear Lord!

The " Who will you get that's better?" argument is silly when you think about it. We just need someone with a different philosophy. The other 31 teams didn't just fold up shop because no one was better than Bellichick during his run.

Having said that I go with Joe Brady OC of the Bills and only 36 years old. He'll have job security and plenty of time to build a great offense.

Of course he might not want to come here considering how damaged this franchise is under Tomlin/Art2.

What’s Johnny Manziel up to?

While rubbing his finger & thumb together (amongst other think), he developed a nice twerk to go with it…….. Coolie sent out videos for the monthly Video club………….. a friend told me.

I like Bobby / Cliff / or Clint as all have their strengths and I’m pretty sure they could develop a hellA lot better team than current HC.

ADD -IN that I would pursue Ben Rothlisberger as a passing consultant or assistant OC (NOT the main OC due to needing a little seasoning). I’d also pursue James Harrison as an assistant LB’s coach as well. My assistant coaching staff would grow, maybe double in size.

My HC candidate would need to be able to delegate responsibilities and over-see everyone. As an owner I’d give him limited but a say in most things. I’d rely more on the GM (possibly new guy) & Weild (possible promotion to GM) for coaching recommendations and all HIRES.

Losing Tomlin would not be the cry that many have said and I could care less who his future employer would be.

He would jump at the job !!! Knowing he would be in control and NO Tomlinization.

Eric Bieniemy???

Back when Eric’s name came up as HC probability, I was cautioned because I couldn’t figure out if he was the reason for the system of success or if his success was because of the system? I’m talking about his time at the chefs.

I like your thoughts on Ben but idk Drink if he’d want the job. I think he likes things the way they are doing his Podcast with Spencer and spending lots of time with his family.
Being an NFL coach as you well know requires him to be away a lot. I’d love to have him as passing coordinator but just not sure that’s what he wants,

Can’t hurt to ask and I hear yaz. Would be a way to bring some of that “REAL” Steelers way back, similar to bringing in Harrison.

Even if just for training camp, both would be a way to help establish that attitude needed.
