NFL 2022 draft thread

I don’t hate the pick, with who was left on the board at other positions, I think we can get comparable talent later. Ex Kyler Gordon, Tariq Woolen, either of the Alabama CBs. Chad Muma, Christian Harris, Troy Anderson, Leo Chanel. Also Logan Hall on the DL.

Pickett was the only QB I’m not upset about drafting. To me, his college tape plays a lot like Josh Allen’s tape (doesn’t mean I think that’s what I think he Will become, but I can see it as a possibility)

So lets see the positives here

1. This means almost no chance BAker Mayfield is ever a Steeler now
2. With all the qb needy teams passing on these guys, next season's QB crop will probably be grossly overvalued
3. the next four may well be taken between now and our pick the second and push better players down to us now
4. People have something to ***** about now
But the inverse of that is we took a round two player at #20 and pushed better players down.
Teams will continue passing on QBs to take said better players.
I would not be shocked if some/most/all of the other 4 QBs are STILL there when we pick tomorrow.

Not a fan of the pick, but whatever. Time to say ...

I was hoping for McDuffie, Cine, or Elam but If they were going to take a QB, I am glad it's Pickett. At least he knows the ins and outs of Heinz field.

if he desn’t win the job and start day one he’s a bust he’s 25 years old he’s like 6th year 5 year player with covid lol if we’re lucky he’s a Herbert but if we’re not he’s bust. Too many good players were on the board this is a “what can you do for me NOW league” He has talent around him if he wins the job go kenny if he doesn’t… on the heap with edmunds, bush, jones, burns… on and on

Hope he knows where the endzones are.

Willis would have been a project so it made sense to let him sit and learn, but Pickett has a ton of starts under his belt. What will Pickett learn on the bench? It would be like the Pats sitting Mac Jones. You drafted the experienced QB. Start him unless he's completely lost.
I say let it play out in camp and see what happens. If Pickett wins the job so be it. If not he sits and learns the playbook.

Now the Panthers have to be pleased about not going QB.......maybe they want Trubiscuit?

go to the other board
Did you mean this for Tim? Why the double standard? Because he’s the one who looks bat **** crazy bringing up the Covid vaccine in the draft thread?

Thank you.

This is a football thread, if it makes you sleep better tonight, it applies to Tim as well.
