I could live with this draft. In fact, I would be extremely happy with it. Most areas would be fixed and the only thing they would need to address would be an OLB. Might be able to find some depth at that position in free agency.

  • Tenn 2024 4th round selection

  • The site loves later picks so Tennessee offered a 2024 4th for pick 243? Okaaaaay.
  • Would celebrate with this draft. Johnson the best LT in the draft, Van Ness a potentially elite OLB in a 3-4. He is big (6'5", 269 lbs.), overpowers tackles, is already an accomplished pass rusher (watch the clip of him simply pushing aside Skoronski), Mazi a massive genuine NT who commands double-teams, Campbell a very reliable ILB. Holy crap, the run defense would be amazing, and add Van Ness to TJ and Highsmith as pass rushers? Garrett Williams falls to 120 for a reason but he is a pretty decent investment here. Coburn is a poor man's Mazi. Fireplug but really mobile, 344 lbs. of force. Really looking for CAIII to upgrade receiving corps here.
He didn't just push by Skoronski, he did the same with Paris. Definitely the definition of a boom or bust player. As he wasn't a starter but there is some highly attractive traits there. He reminds me a little of Watt. That physical element. I liked where you picked him. To me that is where he should go, somewhere high 2.

Now we're talking. An offensive focused draft building the trenches and a potentially electric playmaker. Then you add an interior pass rush and space eater. The 7th round doesn't even matter at this point.

This place will be on fire if the team drafts a WR at 1.17 hehe
Unless they are in love with Addison for Kenny I would think there would be no WR sitting there that would spark that fancy.

What about the Arkansas ILB (forgot his name), he should be sitting there late 2nd-maybe 3rd?

EDIT: Sanders, bottom 1st-2nd

Ringo falling down the mock draft boards
I know he has had some rocky moments. I think he could fall or maybe a perceived fall. I just don't think he falls like some of these simulators show. I don't see him lower than a mid round 2 if that. As he has shown playmaking ability and being able to shut down WRs here and there.

Good article on Depot looking at the corners. For whoever wants to take a peak. For me I still like Cam and Spoon I think one of those two or both might be available at 17. Will be interesting to see who is on the board and who they ultimately pick. Dline,Oline,CB or WR. I think at 17 we will see one of these 4 areas. Our wants are trenches but wouldn't be shocked to see a CB or Addison picked. We'll see!

Where do you see that Sanders kid out of Arkansas going ?

I highly doubt we will get him but I think he would be a good fit. Maybe in the line of a Shazier type but lacking a little ? He seemed way better than anyone on our roster, including our first rounder who is going to be cut this season.

Am I full of beans ??

He is raw but has some pass rushing ability. Coverage ability. Thinking low two high 3 area... I know less about him than some other draftniks as I haven't dug deep at the position compared to others. As I don't think they address ILber high. Saying that I am worried he would get pushed around against the run. But he did have some 10 + tackle games. Being coverage capable I would think he combine tests out well.

He might be the 1st or 2nd ILB taken, late 1st, mid 2nd probably after a probable superb combine

  • Doubling up on the NT/DL here. Coburn is just made for the 0 tech, Mazi is going to handle 2 or 3 with Cam. Broderick Thomas (Jones) is a legit NFL LT, Forbes an excellent CB with great anticipation, Campbell a high-floor, limited ceiling ILB, and Wicks a guy with good hands and excellent route-running. I am not inclined to take a guy like Dell or Mims as I think they are just too similar to Austin III. Wicks is big, fast-twitch, a very good Y receiver who can shrug off jams. Pickens, DJ, Wicks, Austin III and Freiermuth would be a damn chore to cover and in 2024, that group would not miss DJ when he gets too expensive.
