NFL Black Monday - Head Coach Openings

Lovie Smith is a great coach. Just repeat that over and over. It may never be questioned no matter how many teams he crashes.

I could see Lovie on the steelers staff if Flores leaves.

Flores may not even get an interview request unless he drops his lawsuit, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him or Lovie make an appearance in CAR. It’s going to be musical chairs for sure. CAR, IND, DEN, CAR, HOU, with LAR and ARI being open a possibility as well.

Steelers should promote Flores to DC. Find it hard to believe he wouldn't produce better defensive results.
 
I just don't think we're going to get the changes we want since I think Canada is staying as well as bubbles. He may make a change at one of the position coaches but that's about it. It would take Art stepping in to insist Canada be fired but don't think that's happening. I think they have this lets keep Kenny's comfort level with Canada and not disrupt things now. Just sayin'
 
When you start 2-6 and finish 7-2 and one 50 yard FG away from playoffs, with a bunch of rookies and 2nd year players all over the offense, and with the defense not allowing hardly any points against the last half of the season....

All coaches deserve to stay.

But in the process if one of those coaches is causing a unit to underperform or you don't have confidence in him to develop the premium position you might want to look elsewhere.

there is a reason for the slow start and it should be addressed
 
Arizona needs a bright young mind willing to work with a talented QB to develop his game and understanding of NFL defenses. As such, as hard as it is for me to suggest this and pack his bags while getting the car running, they should hire Matthew Canada right now.
