NFL Combine Thread

Anyone else prefer the combine during the day? I didn't always get to watch all of it, but seeing all these guys not working out in drills feels like it defeats the purpose of having the combine.

saw a stat on Davis - he had 0 missed tackles last season

Both him and his teammate showing well. Good defensive additions for whoever gets them. Both have impressive burst. Which will do them well at NT and DE

Probably. Only thing that makes it possible is not every team will want to take a NT that high.

The guy is a physical freak. If he lost 15 lbs. and managed to stay on the field for 3 downs, he would be a freaking force of nature. A guy that dominant at times in college, coming out showing athleticism at 341 lbs., is just too tempting for 19 teams to pass up.

You would think. But every since they took those heaping rookie contracts away teams draft more for need than ever. Even the Steelers do a form of that. Drafting BPA at the positions of need...

I just ran a 4.38 on that track. previous best was a 8.9

Lot of difference when you ran just as a man versus now when you are running the BLITZ !!!

This is a crazy deep receiver draft. Steelers should get a decent one in day three if they choose to wait. Howell showed quite the arm. 59mph is elite. That’s 90 percentile of QB’s. Still don’t want a QB early but Howell in the second is something I could stomach at least.
Howell and willis are the two qbs i am certain will bust on our team… id prefer corral if he drops due to injury into the second…or ridder… i could live with pickett if the pro and anti yinzers will promise not to be ******** on the radio about him.

Penning had a good combine, particularly his 40 (4.89) and 3-cone (7.25). He measured at 6'7", 325 lbs. with 34" arm length. He is a 1st rounder and starts at RT for the Steelers tomorrow.

Plus he only ran a five yard split. (That is 5 yards then split his pants wide open)

😁
