Nfl officiating

It's Jan 30, 2023 and people are complaining about the officials. Call me shocked. I can safely say that roughing penalty will be called 100% of the time, no matter who it is. The dumbass hurt himself on the sidelines. If that was a Steeler, I would be livid they were so undisciplined and stupid to hand KC 15 yards closer for the game winning FG.
Tomlin would be called every name in the book for how our players are undisciplined and HE blew it. It usually takes one or two plays that could make or break a game, where you can't lose your head. Cinci lost theirs. Boo freakin' hoo!

On a side note, Travis Kelce may be a dick, but he shoved it up their ***** after the game and rubbed their noses in it. Burrowhead Stadium? Sounds kinda dumb now, eh? lol

Kelce was hilarious. He called the Cinci mayor a jabroni.

The officiating is bad. But it's tough and they have become reliant on replay. So the Cincinnati player makes the dumbest play I've probably ever seen considering the situation. Now fans go back and comb the game for ****** calls like holding that happen every game. The truth is Mahones was done. The Toradol wore off. The Bungles had about a 70 percent chance to win in OT. He blew it. It's just that simple. They didn't even want to call it. But it was correct.

AFC championship game is why some people think the game is rigged or atleast heavily influenced. That was criminal last night. Giving the Cheifs an extra down and then the ticky tack late hit call, in that situation. Embarrasing to be a fan of a league with that level of integrity.
I hate cincy as much as anyone but that was just unimaginable? Like when the Saints got screwed out of the playoffs, multiple times.
On another note
Watching the end all I could think was Big Ben drives the ball down the field in the ugliest most unimaginable way and wins the game. Thats the difference between a great QB and an all time great QB.
The late hit was a late hit. The extra down was blown dead. As many others have said.
Your Big Ben comment......He had that chance against GB while in his prime. For the SB. And totally blew it. I’m sure you won’t like that comment but hey....truth. Would have made him super legendary.

Seems everyone hates Kelsey and Kittle,I think they’re actually quite the characters.....little bit of quirky humor goes a long way on a team game. And they sure as **** back it up on the field. I thought he was hilarious after the game, and you can see his teammates love him.

Mendenhall blew it with the fumble.

I don't quite get the whining about the officiating yesterday. It may not have been the cleanest of games, but nothing out of line. The Bengals are often a franchise that brings out people crying about officials. Maybe don't get sacked 5 times or throw two interceptions. The Chiefs had one decent receiver out there and couldn't run the ball yet Mahomes threw for over 300 yards.

Yep the team playing better won. Cincy had plenty of chances to win that game and failed.

I think some fans would argue the equity in the push on Mahomes with the 4 steps and the push on Burrows that would have extended their drive in the 4th quarter, yet nothing was called! Yes, both illegal (Mahomes push out of bounds was way worse), both should have been penalized.

Lol.....if you want to go that route.....I seem to remember Big Ben throwing right to Nick Collins and him returning it for A TD. Then another Big Ben pick to set up the Packers on the 50 yard line that they promptly turned into a TD before the first half. By your reasoning above, tell me. Did Ben blow it As well?

lol......you were talking about a QB named Ben in your post driving down the field to win the game on the LAST drive.
I sure wish he would have done it in the Green Bay game.

Hey, you just might be forgetting Peazy and Pacman.

Seattle is another one of the MOST whiny teams ever. Cinnci and Seattle could hold hands and “piss” inj the wind.

I’d add in the cheatriots but all their fans have been used for

POKER

practice and experimentation process.

Yes officiating is inconsistent, but it is not an easy job. We have a better view than the officials and people still can't agree on penalties.

part of the problem may be that officials used to be harshly graded and it took years of excellent performance reviews to move up the ranks from high school to small college, then major college and finally NFL, but in recent years advancement has been based on other reasons.

I love Kelce and Mahomes. Them leading me to a FF championship could have something to do with it. LOL.

The talker in this video states that the officials can be criticized in this game but not on that play.
Not ticky tacky in the least.
What this commentator called a "demonstrably late."

Mahomes was shoved nearly beyond the grayish/white boundary.

The inconsistency from game to game is unbelievable in difference.

The in game discrepancies (same game) can be astronomical.

These two factors definitely fuel the “manipulation” of games attitude.

Back in the 90s, the STEELERS were the recipient of several “apology” letters on Tuesday saying the NFL was sorry to make the wrong call and would try to do better in the future.

Those games that that happened seemed to coincide with sports betting bookings.

Back then no one seemed to correlate, but in todays realm, they have to use plays to manipulate. Example is the NON-call on the Burrow push VS The call on the Mahomes push. One didn’t help extend a drive and the other assured a game winning field goal.

Look at it the way you want but that fact remains.

Whiff ******* Johnson and Spinthenfall cost us a superbowl in 2010, plain and simple, when you have guys who **** up in big games, they gotta go, sad but true. I have no idea why Whiff was on this ******* team for as long as he was, he had to have pics of Bruce Arians ******* a goat.

I mentioned this to a fan a while back who was bitching about the steelers being loved by the refs, I said I'm pretty sure we're the only team to have gotten MULTIPLE we ****** up letters from the NFL in one season. They called bullshit, and I was having trouble finding any record of it, seems the NFL doesn't want that little tidbit in the media if it can help it.

Joe

That wasn't a tricky tacky late hit. He pushed him way out of bounds. I was surprised at the sheer stupidity of the player but it was a valid penalty.
Too true
Late hit garbage play that should’ve been called

All the outrage because 1 play where it’s too loud to hear the whistle, c’mon
It’s quite obvious from the all 22 that play was indeed stopped

All the Cinncy got screwed nut huggers just don’t realize that this is always how the officiating goes and absolutely nothing from the norm here other than All Star crews are always a bit slower.

Should just take the best crews in their entirety to help with this issue of assembling new crews of all star individuals for the playoffs.

Full time refs that are paid appropriately and a better grading system wouldn’t hurt either

No fix, the NFL is too stupid to pull that off
Piss poor officiating all day tho

I'm pretty sure we got 3 in one season. Just my memory.
