Say what you want about HCTM, but another year, another .500 or above season. This is not a pro or anti-Tomlin thread, but should be acknowledged. With the win today, it should be good enough to get into the PO.

He's on double secret probation for me. I don't trust him, Butler, Porter, Smith or Boz....and that's just getting started.

...but I will seriously take this win.

Do coaches get a silver trophy at the end of the season form not having a losing season?

As Captain Bacard on Star Treck Next Generation would say

" Acknoledged # 1 but if that is the ONLY reason you've got for keeping him on"................................

The fact they're capable of beating the P*triots, being up my multiple scores over the Chargers, and lose to terrible teams every year like the Raiders means Tomlin has to go, they are an inconsistent and underachaivering drama filled team every year, that's on Tomlin first and foremost. How many seasons has he squandered? Too many to count

What does winning today have to do with getting into the Post Office?

Couple years ago Dad got some good shots in.

No losing seasons, and only 9 since 1970.
The winningest franchise in the NFL since 1970.

They say we're spoiled.

Telling myself all that isn't working. I want at least 1 more Lombardi before I die.

No losing season should not be the standard with a Hall of Fame quarterback...and believe me, I am very happy we haven't had one, but I have higher standards. Not enough deep playoff runs. Let's change that this year.

yea right, every Steeler fan has higher standards. That's a given. A lot of success and failures starts and ends with your HC and QB. Both can be great and goats in the same game. I'm not defending Tomlin with pom poms, but it's a nice accomplishment he has as HC. He deserves all the criticism he gets, esp during that three game losing streak and playing down to lesser competition, but it's not as easy to replace him as so many here thinks it is.

Fire Tomlin, this win changes nothing

The fact they're capable of playing that way and lose to the likes of the Raiders every year is an indictment of Tomlin, he has to go, this team has underacheived, been full of drama, and been bipolar for years. That is 100% on the head coach.

This team should have a bye, but they still have their backs against the wall if the Rats win in San Deigo, we all know the odds are high they relax now, and go out and lay an egg at least once the next 2 weeks.

The media will turn off the heat on Tomlin now, but anything short of an AFC Championship should get Tomlin fired, I know Rooney won't but he should

Alas for accuracy's sake on a critical issue, it is: Jean-Luc Picard

1st ballot Hall of Fame QB & WR have been enough on their own to keep the Tomlin legacy afloat.

Let's not get all giddy because after 7 ******* years he finally brought in ANOTHER coach to tell him the same ******* thing we've been screaming for years.

Just not feeling all of the Tomlin props when his team lost to a bottom five Raiders team, a bad Broncos team, and blew one at home to the Chargers. Win the games you're suppose to and win home games and the Steelers are in position for the top overall seed in the AFC. Instead they're still hanging on by a thread to a playoff spot.

Everything you've said is true but you also have to take the time to enjoy a win and especially if they win is against a HATED, ******* HATED CHEATRIOT team.
