Everything you've said is true but you also have to take the time to enjoy a win and especially if they win is against a HATED, ******* HATED CHEATRIOT team.

Un-usual win

No he has not.

Sent from my iPhone using Steeler Nation mobile app

I believe the one year when he was hurt in the games he started he did(7-8). His back up won a game to put us at the end of the year at 8 and 8. I very well could be wrong but for some reason that sticks in my head from when I really gave a **** about stuff like that.

Why do you guys waste your breath on "Tomlin has to go"?

Ain't happenin'....

Say what you want about HCTM, but another year, another .500 or above season. This is not a pro or anti-Tomlin thread, but should be acknowledged. With the win today, it should be good enough to get into the PO.

Zero losing seasons. Because of #7. Without him, he has a bunch.

No losing season should not be the standard with a Hall of Fame quarterback...and believe me, I am very happy we haven't had one, but I have higher standards. Not enough deep playoff runs. Let's change that this year.

Looking through to see which games Ben did not play in, I see 17 regular season games since Tomlin took over. Steelers are 9-8 in those games. Unless I missed some, that shows winning games without the HoF QB too.

You consider 9-8 to be successful?

It is over .500 and considering I was responding to:

it seems right on point.

If you want to move the posts from "he is a loser without Ben", be my guest.

The mantra is, without Ben, Tomlin is a loser. Clearly, that is not the case. And these were with 2nd and 3rd string back up QB's not a QB you bring in to replace your starter.

The Steelers give Tomlin BR, AB, JuJu, perhaps the best OL in the NFL and Heyward, Watt and Hayden on defense and he gives them “at least 8 wins”. I would certainly hope so.

Yes, losing Ben for a game or 2 at a time is exactly the same as losing Ben for an entire season. We brought in Rudolph to replace Ben and he cannot even take over Dobbs spot as a back-up.

Losing Ben, complete, he may or may not get replaced by Rudolph or Dobbs. They might bring in a veteran for a year or two. Maybe that veteran wins a bunch of games, too. Maybe he loses a bunch. "Without Ben" can mean many things. What we KNOW without Ben is one thing. You guys want to pretend your conjecture is fact without actual evidence.

you don't have to like Tomlin, but you cannot get around that "Without Ben, Tomlin has a bunch of losing seasons" is pure conjecture (or wishful thinking) based upon no supporting evidence. In fact, the evidence available, suggests it is not true.

So these players just showed up? Tomlin had nothing to do with bringing in those players? Colbert's doing without any input? Is that true on the players that aren't performing, too?

geez, ark, all of a sudden you wanna pretend as if it's NOT time to replace coach tomlin??? give me a break

Not only this, but I do realize replacing Ben for a game or two is different than losing him for a season. But the reality is that, replacing him for a game or two with 2nd and 3rd stringers is also different than what you might do if you had to replace him for a whole season, or for the entire future. We don't know what that might look like or what the results would be.
