Given the team is 1-3, the best the team can be after five games is 2-3, so your scenario is already a done deal. By the way given 17 game season and 7 playoff teams I don't think the season in over if they are below .500 at 5 games. In fact it's not over until the Steelers have lost 9 games (or it becomes mathematically impossible to reach the playoffs).

I think stillerfaninfl meant getting to 5 games under .500 as in 1-6 or 2-7. Not what their record is after 5 games played.
