Not sure how to evaluate KP

Yesterday Kenny showed he has a lot to learn. First half was OK but second half Cincy had his number. Radio announcers said way too many times Kenny was missing receivers open. We all want a star, but we all need to see he has a way to go.

Oh announcers they know better than the opposing players.

See it's the choo choo, c'mon and ride it.

It might have been because Warren got injured and the Steelers fell behind, but they are still throwing the ball way more than running it. Almost 70% passing plays yesterday.

Balanced attack is always good. But until they are less predictable that won't ultimately matter. They fell behind more of this and less on Warren. Not that he isn't a good chess piece. But our coaches are playing checkers.

Just choo choo execute better huh? Hey Kenny we are going to run these same plays in the second half, they will cover your options better as a result. But choo choo just execute better.

Perhaps a more seasoned QB can squeeze better accuracy in these situations but it is a lot to ask Kenny to choo choo his way to better production when you are giving a defense obvious plays.

But choo choo Kenny.

Choo ******* choo.

He hit two Bengals in the hands and missed 2 WIDE open receivers badly in the 1st half alone

Is it a tough situation to be in? Yes. Is the coaching awful? Yes.

Pickett was still bad yesterday, it can be both.

I’ve been saying for weeks. KP misses lots of open receivers. I actually thought Sunday was his best performance finding the open man. He was 1/5 the week before over 20 yards. Missed at least two he should have saw. This week he was 3/6 and that’s with 1 drop from Pickens. Way WAY better than weeks before where he’s actually gone without a completion over 20. Sure he missed a few. But he made more than he missed. That’s progress.

I do remember Muth open in a crosser when Pickett killed a worm at DJs feet. He showed his frustration when missed

I wanted to compare (in an overly simplified manner) the four QBs who've played the past two seasons. Despite throwing the ball so much, this offense is not designed to score and that is evident by the lack of production by every QB in this system. Roethlisberger is the only QB with more than one passing TDs in a game. They barely are able to eclipse 6.0 YPA. The Hall of Famer and the only guy who could bring the Steelers back in the close games has the worst QBR of the bunch. Just the more you watch and the more you look at stats, this offense is designed to handicap its own QBs and playmakers. Looking back to the offseason, Diontae should've have taken his chances and hit UFA on a cheap deal with a real offense like JuJu did because this offense is not going to do anything for his next contract and it's not going to do anything for whoever is under center.

you left out the most important stat. Games started and won. Reg season only. Ben also went to the AFCCG

Big Ben, started 13 games 13-0

Kenny picket start started 6 games won 2

Now this is as much of a knock on Tomlin and friends as it is KP

sorry my friend. it is a perfect statement as to how inept this coaching staff is at developing players. It's not just Canada it's every coach on this team. I actually feel bad for Kenny for having to endure this **** show we call a coaching staff.
