Actually, Trump's performance will be huge for the mid-term elections. Given the fact that the voter turnout was critically low for the presidential elections, the Democrats won't make that mistake again for the mid-terms. Unless Trump does well expect a significant swing at mid-terms.
On the other hand, if he does well, makes good on some of his goals, saves some jobs, gets the economy heading in the right direction and doesn't cause migrant-aggeddon - the Democrats could have a terrible mid-term.
Basically Trump has all the cards and it will be very interesting to see how he plays them.

I guess I've never been in a bar where a) the sound was loud enough to hear or b) had closed captions. Otherwise, doesn't matter whether I watch or not.
Actually the bar I frequent most often has no TV's. The staff's t-shirts say "300 beers, no TV's".
The ones that do have news on are fun because then I can get into drunken political arguments with people like Trog.
