OBJ Gone from Cleveland

he’s dead serious. OBJ was screwing up the whole team and now the defense will be better and Baker will be great and Peoples Jones is better than OBJ anyway.

I think that writhing the next few weeks without OBJ, defenses will not be scared of the browns beating them deep and will start to clamp down on tyebrun and underneath stuff. Kind of like how teams play the Steelers.

It wasn't just yesterday.

Baker and their offense got a lot better last year when OBJ went on IR.

There was just something between Baker and OBJ that adversely affected the play of both.

Their defense has been pretty good all year.

I don't know about all that :poop: that :poop:'s fan was spouting off about, but sometimes, just sometimes - addition by subtraction works.

Baker Mayfield is a game manager with some playmaking upside. OBJ is a diva that wants the ball 100% of the time but only plays with effort 20% of the time. Baker's playstyle calls for dependable, consistent and hard working players (like a Landry for example). OBJ's playstyle depends on being on a **** team that will throw him the ball non-stop where he can drop or not care about 80% of the passes and then make a highlight reel catch to get on Sportscenter and feed his ego. Those two were oil and water. Baker couldn't trust OBJ and when he did OBJ usually shat the bed.

The Browns getting rid of OBJ is a negative, not positive, for the Steelers.

i know a browns fan and today he says that OBJ is completely what was wrong with the team and now that he's gone, everything is fixed. Today totally proved it was all OBJ's fault.
He was a problem, but not the problem

Sure they pulled together for this game… when they focus they are alright… but they are immature and undisciplined a lot… even today really… I wouldn’t read too much into a Cinci meltdown…. Thats a separate issue…

Anybody interested in OBJ now if he clears waivers? Steeler WRs not getting it done. Washington is useless. They need another threat.

Surprise surprise surprise

That's what he wanted… to beca free agent… if he ends up with the Saints ill bet there was tampering that started all of this…
Judging from the video his dad put out, what he wanted was for his QB to throw the ball to him sometimes when he was wide open instead of forcing it to guys who were more covered. Probably also wanted that QB to be more accurate with his throws. But, since he wasn't getting that from Baker anytime soon, yeah, I guess he wanted out. lol

And he was clearing waivers anyway, his contract price was too steep for an 8 week rental.

What $$$ range cost to get him ?

Would $2.5 mill get him ?

have not seen numbers, but I think ESPN said league minimum. Whatever those numbers are.

I'd guess that is less than 2.5 mil, might have been worth a look knowing our WR situation (hindsight)

This move makes no sense. The Rams have Cupp and Woods both are very good. The third guy Jefferson is pretty good as well. The rams released desean because of playing time. Rams games i saw Jackson was a good deep threat. He had a long TD and was open a few times and missed. I don't know how OBJ is going to get enough balls to be happy. At best he will be the third WR
