OL or DT in the draft?

They have about 112 million reasons to stick with the 3-4 now, unless you think Watt can play DE.
This is very true.

With TJ and Highsmith, i don't think you want to move to a 4-3 because i'm not sure they fit and it'd take a while for them to really master those roles.

Adams

I like Adams, in fact, I wanted us to draft him. But ... look at the numbers alone.
Adams is 3, 305

Jordan Davis is 6-6, 340. That's a BIG dude. And he moves like a LBer not named Bush.

I'd be surprised if we bring Alualu back next year, since Adams is essentially doing the same, and for even cheaper.
yeah dan mccullers was a giant too....

I like the guy we just got from NO practice squad.

Why not? He basically does now anyhow. He doesn't drop back that often. He mostly rushes. Have 2 very big uglies in the middle and then Watt and someone else on the other end. Right now, Highsmith would not be that other DE. He could still get better since this is his 1st year starting but he is nowhere near what we would need.

Davis is a BIG man and I can see the "big snack" reference. It's going to come down to degree of need VS pick available due to so many needs the team has.

OL / DL (which Davis falls into) / MLB are high draft needsand contigent on who we bring in for FAs.

I'd bring back Alualu if he can return to form. He only has a couple years left in him anyhow. We will need him if Tuitt never comes back or they don't bring him back. Adams has looked decent but he hasn't really proven himself yet.

Alualu is going to have to be economically priced, prove it type year due to his injury / age.

He plays a 9-technique. honestly, a ****** wide-*** 9, almost 11 technique. hahaha

For Watt & Highsmith to move to a 5, 6, 7 technique they'd have not only get to the backside contain, but also hold the point like a Casey Hampton-type push 4 yards in. It would be so much less free-style and much more holding and shedding.

From what i've seen, Watt would be so much less effective - only because i could see opponents just doubling him and then pushing our 3-tech DT out of the way.

I would look for a Keith Traylor to try and keep Watt from being swallowed whole in the 4-3.

They gotta keep the 3-4 and use the NT, they just gotta get the right NT. They have the rotational pieces in wormley and loudermilk, they gotta get the other 2 starters next to Heyward.

A guy like alualu that could play both positions effectively would be a huge help, with Adam's being the NT backup . Like a Javon Hargrave kind of pick, a nose that can disrupt the pass too.

The other question is, will tuitt be back next year to be the other DE? If not, Is wormley a solution as long as he has 2 studs next to him?

3-4 and 4-3 is pretty much irrelevant. How often do you really see them line up ith a true nose over the centre and 4 guys in a linebacker stance? All their interior lineman can play DT in 4-3. They haven't had a guy you could really say is a 3-4 nose maybe since Hampton. Hargrave maybe but they felt he was expendable for this reason. It was a hassle in sub situations.

Don't know if anyone say Todd McShay's mock draft but he has us taking Kenny Pickett in the first, I would hate that very much

I wouldn't hate it, but would feel better if they addressed other needs on both lines of the ball.

what if we draft Jordan Davis and switch base to 4-3 and watt is DE and OLB, highsmith can play DE as he is still in progress learning from DE to OLB
