I just want to point out, that they are talking about an 18th game.. so its probably time to advocate roster expansion and game limits for players... raise the active roster to 65 or 70, tell teams every player has to be inactive for two of the 18...

I thin k in less than 3 years, there will be an 18th game and more likely than not, an 8th team in the playoffs.
No one likes the 1 team bye, it’s a slap in the face for the NFL to “help” just one team, makes it to obvious……..

I had the same idea, 18 games, players can only participate in 16 of them. Maybe no bye week anymore?
The problem would be deciding when and how to inactivate your players knowing there will inevitably be injuries where they’d be inactive regardless. I also imagine it would make inter-conference games less appealing as they get priority for inactivating key players.

The one team bye is definitely screwy but makes for a more compelling late regular season as it reduces the likelihood of meaningless games.
If they went to an eighth team in the playoffs I think they’d be forced to go back to the two team bye.

Why doesn't the NFL take the ******* skirts off the players and double the number of games. I mean, if the MLS pansy soccer players can play 34 games, why can't NFL players?

The NHL and NBA has turned soft compared to days of lore, and if we're honest, the NFL is getting softer every year through obscure rules and levied fines against players to penalize "excessive" hits. The NFL games generate 70M per game on average compared to NHL (4.36M), NBA (7.65M), MLB (4.44M), and MLS (19.95) keeping in mind for those non-maths minds that less games equals more revenue per game. However, the NFL is a money making machine like no other. Earning 20Billion dollars per year on 17 games compared to 15Billion in 2019 (16 games) we can see that doubling the games may just cause the Federal Reserve bank to run out of paper to print more money.
Put little flags on these Millennial snowflakes already and lets get the 34 game per season schedule started already! Hell, I can see rainbow flags for pride month, camo flags for Military appreciation, pink one's for breast cancer. Get your own NFL Flags for just $20 and support the cause people!

I think the problem w/ sitting NFL players is every game is more meaningful than other leagues who have 80+ games. If there are 18 games and each guy sits for 2 they are missing 11% of the games. Are you going to force kickers / punters to sit as well? I think it would be better to have an extra bye week than forcing guys to sit.

The show jumped the shark but there was a three- four year run if you had a certain redneck humor that show was about as good as it gets. Steve French, Green *******, Jrock living under his mom's trailer pretending he was in prison for Rap cred, Ricky's dad living in the dump with piss jugs, Konky. Like man that was some funny ****.
The trailer park boys will remain a cult classic regardless of the series outcome in the later seasons.
Always loved the fact they were frequents at Pens games too. Given they are Nova Scotia people. They’ve always supported Sid.

$afety is only directly related to money. NFL is king in money.
