Today? What about the past number of years? The run defense was suspect today. The Pats RBs were 26-118.

If we did axe Canada, tgey would just promote Sullivan because he has previously been an OC… there will not be some magic outside fix especially midseasonWho could we get from outside the organization to come in and be interim OC for rest of year ?
Salute the nation
maybe it could be a contestCoolie
Marty Shotenheimer would be an upgrade, and he's dead.maybe it could be a contest
pull a random fan out of the stands and see how they do
New season started last week.Today? What about the past number of years?
Maybe depends what the playbook looks like. We used to do trips or bunch formations at WR and seemed to do alright w/ that, cant remember which coordinator that was, but I dont recall seeing it much if at all now. We need crossing routes w/ layers or slants w/ layers. Crossing routes are hard to cover w/ man and with zone if you have a short and intermediate routes its hard for the D to cover both. Drop too deep and you get the route in front. Dont drop deep enough and the ball goes over your head. Then your TE or other WRs have lots of options, out route, streak, curl, etc etc.....It is really not that difficult. There has to be some sort of plays in the playbook that use the middle. Throwing to the RB should be one of the last reads in most cases. I would leave Najee / Warren in to block and if nothing is open they can release and hopefully make something. What we see now is basically snap the ball swing it out. The QB doesnt even have a chance to read the D which tells me that is how the play is called / designed. The D doesnt even have time to back up so they are able to see clearly what is developing. You would be better off running 3 go routes and trying to swing the ball out. At least it might take some defenders away from the LOS.If we did axe Canada, tgey would just promote Sullivan because he has previously been an OC… there will not be some magic outside fix especially midseason

Not sure how many times I'll need to point this out, but here goes:We cut it to 17-14, have all the mo, and the defense lets another opponent make a killer 4th qtr drive. Where have we seen that before?
I almost seemed to me that the coaches looked at the scoreboard, got confused, and thought they were winning by 3. Those offensive series might have been some of the most frustrating football I have watched in a while because it felt like they stopped competing. Not sure how many times I'll need to point this out, but here goes:
Actually, after the Steelers cut it to 17-14. the defense stopped the Patriots twice in the fourth quarter, and forced them to punt the ball back to Pittsburgh. Then, after the offense went 3-and-out not once but twice, the D allowed the killer drive when they were out of gas after being put right back out on the field again.
And, this followed yet another time they forced New England to punt, late in the third quarter, and the Steelers' special teams gave the ball away on their own 10-yard line.
But yeah, it's the defense's fault.
Belicheat: We may not have as much talent as we used to, but BOHICA Mikey.Tomlin:We will ptotect the sidelines. If they want something it will be over the middle.
Belichik: OK.
This is always a thing here… I swear we take the worse possible angles in a loss… the defense could hold a team to a single field goal until the end and score a safety while the offense only puts up a field goal, but then they will give up a field goal in the final minute and the 6-5 loss would somehow be on themNot sure how many times I'll need to point this out, but here goes:

Five turnovers, the Bungles beat themselves.Figures - you thought the Bengals would beat us in Week 1 too...
It wouldn’t matter. Canada isn’t that smart.Time Tomlin took control and told Canada to stop this same stuff week to week. This game showed we are not a strong team; the defense was just as bad as offense in reality. Pats ran that little drop pass how many times for good yardage; we did not stop the run. The offense all The behind the sticks throws and with this line no thought of a run game. two minutes into fourth quarter down three, no leadership stood tall and made the defining comeback play. We showed no aggressiveness in the second half no physicality at all. Might as well open the game up what does it matter lose by three or twenty. See what works what doesn't.
Which is what Bungles do… its their most natural state…Five turnovers, the Bungles beat themselves.
True, I was shocked that they were AFC champs last year.Which is what Bungles do… its their most natural state…
Life has to eventually give them a little hope so it can dash it againTrue, I was shocked that they were AFC champs last year.
