I'm all in for your punishment plan except for the cap hit and also force the owner to sell for continuing to employ a proven cheater, and being a sleaze ball.

Seriously WTF was "Dave" going to do with the tape? Why would a film guy that knows nothing about football and isn't associated with the football side of the operation be filming the other teams signals and packages? He doesn't even know what he's look at on the field.

Of course Bill knew about it. He's the only one it could help. How can this film help anyone but him and the football operations? I'm sure the guy messed up by not actually filming the advanced scout for a few minutes just to help his cover story. But again this information is only good for the football side of the operation. It's worthless to anyone else.

The NFL will absolutely try to sweep it under the rug...

They will minimize the offense using agenda driven spin, then hand out a minor penalty and act like they gave them the NCAA death penalty
 
So if they are doing this vs a 1 win Bengals team, just imagine how much **** they pulled during AFCcG or Super Bowls vs good teams.

I think they'll get a small slap on the wrist. Ever since Sean Payton was suspended an entire year for not knowing about bounty gate, and Belicheat has never been suspended, I knew NE had Goodell in their pockets

Bingo. Just think these guys have been doing this for damn near 20 years. If you throw in the probability of radio signal intercept, you damn sure know the p*ts stadium at the very least is bugged.

It all adds up to the extreme statistical improbability of them accomplishing what they have done.

Spot on Turd. Strahan nailed it. This had nothing to do with scouting for the game. This is for cataloguing of a new HC system, where they have no information. Adams keeping his files up to date. What’s even funnier, is Ernie’s actual title is not part of the football operations, but as team research historian. Cheats have an answer for every circumstance. Plus it appears Goodell is their ace card.

I have already been done with the NFL for a while ( was watching WWF PPV last night with the boy on the big screen and had game on iPad ).
If standard operating procedure follows, it will be an edict from Rog that says, "Even though it was unintentional, the rules are there for a reason. The NFL is fining the Patriots ( it doesn't matter because it's pocket change to billionaires ) and fining Bill Bellicheck ( it doesn't matter because it's pocket change to millionaires ) and taking away whatever draft picks.
All is good.
Nothing more to see.

The night this broke, Scott Van Pelt, who I actually do not mind came on after the monday night game last night and totally defended NE and Belicheat, saying, "come on guys really, NE needs to cheat to beat a 1 win Bengals team, blah, blah, blah" he was obviously disgusted anyone would dare make that accusation. Of course he is an ESPN employee.
 
Patriots should be banned from the playoffs this season, Belicheat suspended for this and next season.

Ernie Adams banned from the league.
