About this time last year I read a book called “The 48 Laws of Power” that fundamentally changed how I viewed everything.

It’s not a set of rules , but more “this is happening” be aware of it. I thought I was aware... but opened my eyes.

They know that damages done in punishment would far more irreparable to long term.

There’s no other logical explanation. It’s just like Alabama in college football—dominance exceeding a point is not dominant; it’s Bernie Madoff scamming.

And Tom Coughlin beat Belicheat twice in the Super Bowl by changing their hand signals for the game. Eli will end up in the HOF for that but people forget what Coughlin did, or at least they're told not to talk about it.

so your contention is players are told by the NFL not to talk about it so as not to tarnish the shield.

somehow, I think that being told that would inspire many players to do just that...talk. Methinks you are over rotating on this.

I have read some things along this line. Trust me they don't want the recurrence to be big. As it will force their hand for a more stricter penalty.

just don't see what would stop a retired player from speaking his mind. you just can't keep a lid on that sort of thing this long. I poke conspiracy theories for fun, but i am not serious. but, truly, i am not that invested in it. the league has proven that it doesn't care what the patshits do.

I don't think most players know about it except for the Giants. I'm sure other coaches and media have been told not to mention it. You didn't hear the Giants' coaching staff and players making a big deal about it. It was just a small blurb in the news that we picked up here.

Yeah the retired player(s) I never thought knew anything. I always thought it was just Ernie and billacheat doing the cheating and telling nobody....

I think Ernie and Belicheat just keep it to themselves and call the plays. For evidence, note that almost all of Belicheat's assistants do not acheive any level of success after they leave.

I don't think this fact receives enough attention.

People here talk about the lack of any Tomlin assistant going on to do anything after the Steelers and rightly so, but the lack of success for Belicose Bill's assistants after leaving pats****** is a pretty incriminating statistic.
