Penguins 23-24

Lucky bounce on that goal, but sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.
 
Pretty good first period. Plenty of good chances. But then, the first period hasn’t been the pens problem this year.

I’d like to see them sustain this for the rest of the game. The team seems to fade as the game goes on, and it’s a trend I’d like to see them break.

Great first period. But, we've seen this movie before.

So, do we get the 20 minute men tonight? The 40 minute men? 60 minute?

We really can win this.
 
Avs player was hacking away at the puck that was under Jarrys pad. Pens did nothing. That never happens when our guys hack away. We get clubbed.
 
A ton of positives from this game. The penalty kill against the #4 PP in the NHL. Jarry standing on his head. The compete level for 60 minutes. They just completely outclassed an undefeated, talented high scoring opponent. This win is huge and in my opinion cannot be overstated.

I loved the aggressive forecheck all game. They never let up. Letang was excellent on the PK. Best game they’ve played in a while, not just this season.

Makes me wonder how the heck they can play so flat against teams that are nowhere close to being as good as the Avs.

I don't know, for all the hype, the Ave's didn't look as good as I thought they would tonight. Way too many turnovers. Definitely off their game. They had chances but Jarry made some great saves.

Now if we can get the same effort against the Sens Saturday night.

How are the opposing players allowed to just camp out at the top of the crease without getting absolutely beat up?
