Penguins 24-25

Did you guys seethe highlights last night? After Marc-Andre Fleury shutout Montreal in Montreal the fans gave him a standing ovation and all Montreals players and coaches lined up and congratulated him on ice after the game. Will be his last appearance in Montreal.
Pretty classy stuff there.

He deserves it all. Tom Wilson will not get such a send off.
 
Dang it. This one sucks. Tells me for sure that they are burning down the house.

Nah, they aren’t burning it down yet, but the gas and lighter are near by. Petterson was serviceable but nothing spectacular. DOC was a decent player but he just couldn’t score enough. The 1st rounder is contingent upon the NY Rangers finishing 14th or worse. Other than that, the return is meh.

When they start moving “names” then they’re burning it down. Past time for it anyway.

As sad as it sounds, Petterson was one of our better Blue liners.

DOC has mad skates, and a pretty good stick, too. Lots of moxie, but he has not shot at all. He simply can't find the small places in the net. All his shots are tosses at the net. Liked the guy. His being gone is not a big loss at all.

Excited to see Heinen on the second line, and the new defensive guy on the 4th pairing.
 
This was one of the most complete games we have played all year. It was also our only shut out this year, so far. Sid was on fire, almost getting into a fight with the Pred's net minder.
 
This game is doing great. The kids are doing very well. I bet the whole "Sid and Geno are out" talk put a burr in their saddle.
 
That was an outstanding game. There are things we could have done better, but we did enough and then some.

I really get the feeling that the rest of the team wanted to show the world that they can win without Sid and Geno, which was all the discussions were about.

Kudos to them.

The one on Bunting was as much of a home cooking call as I’ve seen in a while. Weak is an understatement. Just glad they got the win and weren’t robbed by some BS like that.
 
I missed it. I remember a couple or three years ago when the team was playing like hot garbage and 2 or 3 stars were injured. The replacements did great and the team started winning. Stars got well and everything went to **** again.
 
This game tonight was ours to win. We lost. Sucks to lose to any Philly team.
 
I think they have around 24 games left. They'll probably do a Steeler and get .500 or slightly above.
 
Enjoyed watching the replay of the Canada OT win vs Sweden. Sid had 3:assists. I really liked how they had a 10 minute 3 on 3 OT. Much better than faceoffs in my opinion. Sid got loads of appreciation from his home country as you'd expect.

I wonder if Sully will get canned after this tournament is over.
 
Listening to the pregame interview with Sullivan.

I think he summed it up well by stating, fairly frankly, that Team USA's challenge is that the head coach sucks.
 
I don't think the natives like us too much. That's cool. I can't say I like them much either
